After the launch of Chevrolet Beat ,Chevrolet has become a major player in the Indian automobile market with appreciable sales in hand which are bow being complemented by Chevrolet Cruze. Both the small car and sedan and working together in order to bring the brand into the limelight which earlier was going unnoticed.
But what about the SUV category? For that the company has an offering called Chevrolet Captiva but the car failed to pull the customers to the showrooms. Despite being an incredibly beautiful SUV at an attractive price, it did not appeal to the customers and now the scenario is that it is struggling to survive.
Lately the company is planning to replace the car with the new 2012 Chevrolet Captiva during the second half of 2011 which is doing well in the European market and is expected to contribute its bit to the already rising sales.
Talking about the design of the car, it carries the typical look which the existing car does except for minor changes on the head lamps and tail lamps. The front grille has been stretched down and integrates into the fender which earlier was restricted above the front fender. This new convention is also being followed by new 2011 Chevrolet Aveo.
Coming to the rear it looks exactly the same with literally no changes except for a clearer set of tail lamps. The fender, the exhaust set-up, rear reflector placement etc. are all at the same place as seen in the current model.
