Although motor homes and caravans are not much popular in India, some modified examples like the Force Traveller here can literally be built to be ‘houses on wheels’ with everything you’ll ever need.
Motors homes and caravans aren’t such a huge thing in our country as it is abroad. You will only find bollywood celebrities using motor homes on their sets and most often these are custom built. In fact, there isn’t any mainstream manufacturer in India building such motor homes or caravans. People thus rely on the aftermarket modification scene to convert regular vehicles into something bespoke that you can truly call your house on wheels. Here, we have such an example where a modified Force Traveller has been completely overhauled into a house on wheels.
This Force Traveller has been modified inside and out and there’s nothing stock about it. We are not convinced that the exterior modifications are very tasteful but they will surely catch your eye. This Force Traveller gets a completely new face where the stock headlamps have been modified with aftermarket units from a Honda Civic. The grille too has been revised and gets a thick chrome band with a Mercedes logo. The lower bumper is also an aftermarket unit with fog lamps and LED DRLs and looks like they have been lifted from the Hyundai Verna.
The side profile remains relatively unchanged but it gets large silver alloy wheels and cladding all around the vehicle is also a custom job. The rear too has been considerably modified with a tail mounted spare wheel, a custom glass section cut around the spare wheel, a ladder and also an aftermarket rear bumper. The tail lights too are after market units. What is rather a surprise is that this Traveller even comes equipped with air suspension at the rear for a better ride quality.

The real magic of the modification however lies when you step inside this Traveller. There’a a partition between the driver’s cabin and the rear lounge area which is accessed via an electronically operated door. Once you step inside, it’s really equipped as a luxury vehicle. There are two recliner seats on one side along with a 7-feet long sofa on the other side which can be easily converted into a double-decker bed. The seats and the sofa come draped in fine leather upholstery and you can use this space both for your work and even for sleeping.

This Traveller also comes equipped with every gadget you can think of. Apart from the standard air-conditioning that the Traveler already comes equipped with, it further gets a split AC, a microwave over, a refrigerator, a television, a Sony surround sound system, a wash basin and lots of LED and ambient lighting on the roof and along the side panels. There’s also plenty of storage all around, a dedicated cupboard there’s even a separate generator and an inverter in case the power supply in interrupted. Perhaps the only missing piece here to make it your permanent residential space is the lack of a dedicated bathroom and kitchen. These modifications usually comes in packages and the level of equipment and luxury will be ultimately determined by your bidget.
