This is one of the very few Maruti Ertiga in India that has received this custom iridescent vinyl wrapping, changing colours from every angle you look.
Maruti Ertiga is usually ran by everyone in stock condition and no modifications. Some of them get minor modifications like stickers and new alloy wheels, that’s it. Ertiga is a people mover and highly practical car. Its design is not to catchy and usually passes off as a car that is only good for its purpose.
However, this guy has done something interesting to his Ertiga. This modified Maruti Ertiga gets chameleon-wrapping from JS Customs which is a type of iridescent vinyl wrapping. The colours that you can see with this wrapping are Golden, Green and Blue. FYI, these custom wraps look super cool and are not that costly to buy as well. However, maintaining them is a big issue.
Further, this modified Ertiga gets custom tinted tail lights, headlamps and turn indicators. All these lights are aftermarket LED units. Even the fog lamps have been changed. Further, it gets skirts on the front and rear bumper. You can see carbon fibre highlights all over the body like the front grille and ORVMs.

The tyres are stock but it is equipped with new alloy wheels. Also, there’s the tyre stickers applied as well. At the back, you can see a roof spoiler along with a new brake light that’s inside the car. A similar type of lighting is seen on the new Verna. All these cosmetic modifications look excellent and actually enhance this Ertiga’s appeal.
Modifications to the mechanics include custom full exhaust setup and BMC intake filters. This is a diesel Ertiga and that’s why there’s a different sound coming from the exhaust. Not to forget the black smoke coming out which is an instant traffic-cop alert. The owner says that the total cost incurred in this is around a Lakh.
Before the BS6 norms came into force, Maruti Ertiga came with a 1.3 Litre Multijet diesel engine. The engine was good for 89 PS and 225 Nm of peak torque. Now, it comes with a 1.5 Litre four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 104 BHP and 138 Nm of peak torque. Transmission options are same for the petrol and diesel engines; a 5-speed MT and a 4-speed AT.

The prices of Ertiga now start at Rs Rs 7.59 lakh to Rs 10.13 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). As earlier, there’s no direct rival for the MPV as of now. However, Hyundai is working on an Ertiga rival which will debut in the next 2 years.
