Toyota Fortuner
We have already seen that most politicians own the Toyota Fortuner because of the sheer off-roading and practical capabilities it offers. Prior to that, it used to come powered by a 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine that generated 175 PS and 420 Nm of peak power and torque. The transmission duties were carried by a 10-speed automatic gearbox sending power to all four wheels. The last recorded prices ranged around Rs 40 lakh, ex-showroom.

Audi A8L
Audi A8L is the next luxury vehicle in the car collection of Mukhtar Ansari. It is the flagship offering from Audi. Under its hood sits a 3.0-litre V6 engine that churns out a healthy 340 hp and 500 Nm of peak power and torque. It comes mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox enabling a 0-100 km/h sprint in just 5.7 secs. There is an all-wheel-drive system (Quattro) and one has to shell out upwards of Rs 1.50 Crore to get his/her hands on one of these. He has a VIP numberplate as well.

Tata Safari
The final product in the car collection of Mukhtar Ansari is the old Tata Safari. It was a popular SUV in our market back in the day. In fact, many politicians and influential people had one in their garages. It used to come powered by a strong 2.0-litre diesel engine and had a 4×4 drivetrain as well. Being a popular and rugged SUV, it was priced at around Rs 16 lakh in India. This shows that Mukhtar Ansari is a car lover.
