Hey I didn’t say that buying Ducati Superbikes will be any cheaper, it will just become easier than now because Ducati will be adding 4 more dealerships In India in year 2010 to the existing number of just 2 dealerships in India. Italian superbike maker Ducati launched its bikes in India in July 2009.
The superbike sales in India is among the highest in Asia when compared to countries like China where annual sales of superbikes is about a tenth part of the sales in India.
The market for superbikes is very niche and exclusive. Ducati hopes to sell 150 units in year 2010 compared to 35 bikes it has sold in India since its launch in India in July 2009.
Ducati bikes come in engine capacities varying from 500 CC to 2500 CC. This is a very premium segment of bikes which are prices between Rs. 10 Lakhs to Rs. 60 Lakhs. These bikes are not for daily commuters, these are for motor-biking enthusiasts who have passion for biking and have money to spend on these exclusive masterpieces.
The superbike market does not play on the rules of competitive pricing, rather it plays on the rules of power, performance, exclusivity and passion.
