Bugatti Banned Tom Cruise
This case emerged after the red carpet incident back in 2006. Tom purchased the Bugatti Veyron back in 2005. It was among the most expensive and fastest production cars at the time. It is a title that it still holds, to some degree even today. Nevertheless, he arrived at a red carpet ceremony in his hypercar. Accompanying him was his ex-wife, Katie Holmes. As the star arrived, he came out of the car and greeted thousands in attendance and hundreds of media personnel. Being the gentleman that he is, he went over to the passenger side to open the door for his ex-wife.

Unfortunately, the door was stuck for some reason. He is seen visibly struggling to open it. He is trying hard to pull the handle multiple times but the door won’t open. It is entirely possible that the door was locked from the inside all this while. In any case, the French car marque considered it to be a disaster for the PR of Bugatti. As a result, it allegedly banned the actor from ever purchasing a Bugatti car for the rest of his life. Now, this might seem harsh and bizarre. but we have not seen Tom own another Bugatti thereafter. Bugatti Veyron comes with a potent 8.0-litre W16 quad-turbo petrol engine which generates an unbelievable 1,200 hp and 1,500 Nm of peak power and torque. This engine is mated to an automatic transmission. It propels the hypercar from 0 to 100 km/h from a standstill in just 2.5 seconds. Its top speed is electronically limited to 415 km/h although it could hit 431 km/h. The prices are well over $2 million (over Rs 16 Crore). He might be the biggest action star in the world, but this ban from Bugatti shows that the carmaker is particular about its rules.
