The BS6 Maruti Suzuki Celerio sees a hike in price of Rs 15,000 across all variants and apart from BS6 compliance, the car remains otherwise unchanged.
Maruti Suzuki has launched the BS6 complaint CelerioX in India, with its price now starting from Rs 4.90 lakh and goes all the way up to Rs 5.67 lakh. The Maruti Suzuki CelerioX is available in four different trims – VXI, VXI (O), ZXI and ZXI (O). The CelerioX continues to be powered by a 1.0L petrol engine with just mechanical updates for the BS6 compliance. Here’s a revised price list of the BS6 Maruti Suzuki CelerioX.

The BS6 Celerio sees a standard increase in price of Rs 15,000 across all the variants. It is powered by a 1.0L, three-cylinder petrol engine that produces 68bhp and 90Nm of peak torque. There have been no other mechanical changes on the CelerioX apart from the BS6 compliance. Its continued to be offered with either a 5-speed manual gearbox or an AMT gearbox. The CelerioX AMT has a claimed fuel efficiency figure of 21.63kmpl.
The CelerioX is essentially a more rugged version of the standard Celerio. It was launched back in 2017 when the taste for SUVs were still growing among Indian customers. The highlight of the exterior is a plastic body cladding that gives the CelerioX a rugged look. It also gets more ground clearance and restyled bumpers with faux skid plates. Rounding off the looks are the stylish black alloy wheels.

On the inside, the cabin is pretty basic by modern standards and looks identical to the standard Celerio. Still, to differentiate it from its more humble sibling, there are some white inserts on the dashboard and different colored upholstery for the seats. In terms of features, the CelerioX gets power steering, power windows, integrated audio system with Bluetooth, multi-function steering wheel, rear wash wipe, leather-wrapped steering wheel, central locking with remote and even electrically adjustable outside rear view mirrors.

The Maruti Suzuki CelerioX does not any different rival in its class who pretends to be psuedo-crossover but for its price, the CelerioX rivals the likes of the Hyundai Santro and even the Maruti’s own Wagon R.
