Mahindra has started testing the new generation XUV500 in India which gets completely new BS6 engines. However, it is still in development stage and would not be launched this year. So, for now, Mahindra has updated the current XUV500 with BS6 engine.
BS6 Mahindra XUV500 is now listed on the official website. The specifications have been revealed, which are exactly the same as earlier. However, the All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) variant has been removed from the lineup. Possibly, it could directly come with the new generation model.
The prices have not been revealed as of now. Mahindra will announce the prices once the lockdown is over. However, we are expecting a price hike of around Rs 1 Lakh on all the variants. XUV500 loses the base W3 trim as well and now comes in W5, W7, W9 and W11 (O).
