Jawa has launched the BS6 range of the classic Jawa and Forty Two with its price now depending on the color option you choose unlike the previous uniform pricing. The entire range gets a hike by about Rs 5,000-Rs 10,000.
With the deadline for the BS6 emission norms just a month away, Jawa has brought in their BS6 compliant motorcycles at just about the right time. Jawa has launched the BS6 Jawa in India for a starting price of Rs 1.73 lakh for the single-channel ABS variant and Rs 1.82 lakh for the dual-channel ABS model. Similarly, the BS6 Jawa Forty Two has been launched for a starting price of Rs. 1.60 lakh for the single-channel ABS variant and Rs. 1.69 lakh for the dual-channel ABS.

According to Jawa, both the motorcycles retain their power and torque figures as was with the BS4-spec engine. The company claims that the BS4 Jawas already had a BS6-ready motor and by the use of cross port technology, it has been able to meet BS6 emission norms as well as retain the signature Jawa exhaust sound. This means the 293cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine will continue to produce 27hp and 28Nm.
