Hyundai has launched the BS6 Venue now, with new prices starting at Rs 6.70 Lakhs. The SUV gets a new 1.5 Litre diesel engine, borrowed from Seltos.
Hyundai Venue finally gets a BS6 compliant new diesel engine. Hyundai has discontinued the existing 1.4 Litre diesel engine and replaced it with a 1.5 Litre motor from the Seltos. Along with it, Hyundai has also launched the BS6 Venue Petrol and Turbo Petrol, along with new prices.
The price hike ranges from Rs 19,000 up to Rs 55,000, depending on the variant. Here are the detailed variants wise prices of the BS6 Hyundai Venue:

S Diesel variant has received the highest price hike, of Rs 55,000. The prices of petrol and turbo petrol variants have increased by Rs 19,000 and Rs 23,000, respectively. Now, the prices of the BS6 Hyundai Venue range from Rs 6.70 Lakhs up to Rs 11.50 Lakhs (ex-showroom).

As you can also see, Hyundai has introduced new dual-tone variants with SX, SX(O) and SX+ variants. The top-spec SX+ variant is reserved for the turbo petrol motor. The diesel engine is available on all of the variants except the SX+.
Kia Seltos’s 1.5 Litre four-cylinder diesel engine produces 115 PS and 250 Nm of peak torque. The official figures for Venue have not been revealed yet. We are expecting the engine to produce around 100 PS and 220 Nm of torque, slightly more than its existing engine.
On the other hand, it continues with its 1.2 Litre four-cylinder petrol engine and the 1.0 Litre turbo-petrol motor. The engines produce 83 PS/113 Nm and 115 PS/172 Nm of torque, respectively. Hyundai offers an automatic 7-speed DCT only with the turbo motor.

Venue’s main competitor is Maruti Vitara Brezza which recently lost its diesel engine. While, there’s popularity even for Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300 and Ford EcoSport, the former two are the main driving force behind the segment.
