The BS6 Hyundai Elite i20 now has a starting price of Rs 6.5 lakhs. The starting price is about Rs 90,000 more than BS4 spec car. That’s because some variants have been discontinued and its a petrol-only model now.
Earlier this month, Hyundai had opened bookings for the BS6 versions of the Elite i20, the Grand i10 and the Venue. A couple of days ago, Hyundai had announced the prices of the BS6 Venue and now they have revealed the prices of the BS6 Elite 120. The BS6 Hyundai Elite i20 now has a starting price of Rs 6.49 lakhs and goes up to Rs 8.31 lakhs. It is however only available with a petrol engine now.
With the BS6 update, Hyundai has also revised the variants of the Elite i20. The base Era trim, the petrol-CVT Sportz+ trim and the Asta(O) trims have been dropped from the line-up. That leaves the BS6 i20 with just four petrol variants. Also, while the variant to variant prices of the i20 have gone up by around Rs 15,000, the base price of the car has now gone up about Rs 90,000 over the BS4 spec i20 with the discontinuation of the base Era trim.
Here’s a detailed variant-wise price break up of the BS6 Hyundai Elite i20:
Variants | BS6 Price | BS4 Price | Difference |
Era | Rs 5,59,693 | ||
Magna+ | Rs 6,49,951 | Rs 6,34,950 | Rs 15,001 |

Although Hyundai hasn’t revealed the exact equipment list for each of the variants with the BS6 update, you can expect the base BS6 Magna+ to come with more features than the base BS4 Era variant. In BS4-spec, compared to the Era trim, the Magna+ gets additional kit such as a 2-DIN audio system, LED DRLs, remote locking, electric adjust wing mirrors and rear air-con vents.
Similarly, the current top-spec variant of the BS6 car will come loaded with all the goodies some of which includes a 7.0-inch touchscreen, auto climate control, side and curtain airbags, reverse camera and more.
