Honda has opened bookings for the refreshed BS6 WR-V that comes with some cosmetic changes and BS6 compliant petrol and diesel engines. The token amount for booking the car is Rs 21,000.
Honda Cars India have officially opened bookings for the updated BS6 WR-V that they revealed recently. The updated WR-V can now be booked at all Honda dealers for a booking amount of Rs 21,000. Deliveries are expected to begin sometime next month, with a price announcement slated to take place in the latter half of March.
Along with the BS6 update, Honda has introduced some cosmetic changes on the WR-V as well. The front bumper has been tweaked with more pronounced creases and the body cladding around the front bumper has also been changed slightly. Although the headlamp and the chrome bar at the top of the grille remain the same, the grille now features horizontal slats instead of the previous model’s a honeycomb pattern. There are no design changes on the WR-V in profile or at the rear although the tail lamps now get an LED treatment.
The Honda WR-V is now powered by BS6 petrol and diesel engines under the hood. There’s a 1.5L diesel engine which produces 110bhp and a 1.2L petrol engine which produces 90bhp. Both engines will be mated with a 5-speed manual gearbox. However, even with the BS6 update, Honda has not introduced an automatic gearbox option on the WR-V.

On the inside, the cabin remains nearly identical but there will be a new upholstery for the seats. The WRV is basically a cross-hatch with its length under 4 metres. It is costlier than the Jazz and is usually considered in the compact SUV league, particularly because it has a considerable good ground clearance and heavy body cladding all around.

The refreshed WR-V cross-hatch will take on the long list of compact SUVs sold in our market. These include the updated Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, Hyundai Venue and Ford EcoSport. The WR-V will be Honda Car India’s second launch in quick succession with the all-new City sedan, which is also expected to see an India unveil and price announcement soon.
