Honda has officially commenced the pre-launch bookings for BS6 Civic Diesel ahead of its expected launch in the month of July.
Honda has confirmed that it will be launching the new BS6 Civic Diesel sometime soon. The official bookings are now open across the country and we are expecting a launch to happen in July. You can book the Civic diesel from your home on their online website as well as visit the dealership for that.
BS6 Honda Civic Diesel will continue with the same 1.6 Litre i-DTEC diesel engine. The engine produces 120 PS and 300 Nm of peak torque, sounding a bit underpowered for its class. However, due to this, the fuel efficiency figures of Civic Diesel are the best in class and also the best in its price range. Honda claims that it will offer a mileage of 25 kmpl.

The engine will come mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard fitment. The other engine option includes a 1.8 Litre i-VTEC petrol engine that produces 141 PS and 174 Nm of peak torque. Honda engines are now the torquiest of all but are sure fun to drive. Especially, the i-VTEC engines of Civic and City.

Safety features onboard include six airbags (dual front, side and curtain), ABS with EBD, Collision Mitigation braking system, Forward Collision Warning, Hill Climb and Descent Assist and Vehicle Stability Program. The Civic is currently priced from Rs 17.94 Lakhs up to Rs 21.25 Lakhs. The diesel variants demand Rs 20.55 Lakhs up to Rs 22.35 Lakhs, which will now get at least a price hike of Rs 50,000.
