Our dealership sources confirmed that the launch of BS6 Honda Civic Diesel could happen this week itself. It will continue with the same diesel engine.
Honda has three launches scheduled for the next two months. The biggest launch is of the new Honda City, which will be launched on 15th July. The other two launches include BS6 Honda Jazz and Civic diesel. Our dealership sources now confirm that the Civic Diesel is mostly going to be launched by the end of this week.
The dealerships will soon start receiving the updated BS6 units. The bookings have commenced at dealerships and we are expecting the deliveries to commence very soon after the launch. BS6 Honda Civic Diesel will continue with the same 1.6 Litre diesel engine, along with the same power figures and gearbox.

The Civic diesel produces 120 PS and 300 Nm of peak torque, mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard. The other engine on offer is the 1.8 Litre NA i-VTEC engine that is good for 141 PS and 174 Nm of torque. The petrol engine comes paired with a CVT gearbox as standard. Civic Diesel offers best in class mileage figure of 25 kmpl.
Features onboard will continue to be the same including lane watch camera, auto-dimming IRVMs, LED projector headlamps, electric adjustment for driver seat, digital instrument cluster, heated seats, electric sunroof, cruise control, 60:40 rear split seats and much more. It comes with many segment first features as well.
Safety features include ABS with EBD, Six Airbags, Rear Parking Sensors, Rear Parking Camera with Multi-view camera, brake assist, hill climb and descent assist and Vehicle Stability Assist. The CVT variant additionally gets paddle shifters for a sportier drive. The prices start off at RS 17.25 Lakhs up to Rs 21.25 Lakhs for the petrol variant. The diesel Civic is expected to start at Rs 21.5 Lakhs to Rs 23 Lakhs (all prices ex-showroom).
