Honda has issued an important recall for BS6 Activa 125. The scooter has been reported with faulty oil gauge and fan cooling cover issues.
BS6 Honda Activa 125 has been recalled by the company. The company has announced it officially and will soon start ringing up the customers. Also, the owners can themselves check if their scooter is affected, by putting in their VIN number on Honda’s official website.
As of now, Honda has not confirmed if the part is completely damaged or partially. Also, we will get to know if the part needs to be replaced completely or will just be modified/repaired. To note, Honda has just recalled the BS6 Activa 125 units and not the earlier ones.

Honda launched the new Activa 125 in India in September 2019. It gets an updated BS6 compliant 125cc engine, minor cosmetic tweaks and a lot of new features. For starters, it is priced from Rs 67,490 up to Rs 74,490 (ex-showroom Delhi).
It uses a refreshed 124.6cc air-cooled Fuel-injected engine. The motor produces 8.1 BHP and 10.3 Nm of peak torque. With the FI as standard, the mileage of Activa 125 is higher by 30%, around 52-53 kmpl.
New features onboard include Start-Stop Technology, Analogue Instrument Console with MID showing real-time mileage, average mileage, remaining range, etc, LED headlamps and LED tail lamps, Pass Switch, External Fuel Filler Cap, Side Stand Engine Cut off, Front Glove Box and CBS (Combi Braking System).

BS6 Activa 125 also gets a new 3-step adjustable spring-loaded. hydraulic suspension at the back with telescopic forks at the front. Rivals of the scooter include Suzuki Access 125, Hero Destini 125, Hero Maestro Edge 125 and Yamaha Fascino 125. All of them are now BS6 compliant.
