BS6 Bajaj Platina and CT100 have been launched successfully. The price of both the commuters has now increased by Rs 6000-7000.
Bajaj Platina and CT100 commuters are now equipped with BS6 compliant engines. Both the motorcycles now get fuel injection as standard fitment. Along with that, the exhaust systems have also been upgraded.
BS6 Bajaj Platina is now priced at Rs 47,264 for the kick-start variant and Rs 54,797 for the electric-start. As for the CT100, it now comes at Rs 40,794 for the spoke wheels variant and Rs 48,794 for the alloy wheel variant (all prices ex-showroom). The prices have been hike by Rs 6,000 – 7,000 for all the four models.
The technical specifications of both models are not out yet. The Platina and CT 100 both get the same 102cc 2-valve air-cooled engine. The motor produces 7.9 PS at 7500 RPM and 8.34 Nm of peak torque at 5500 RPM. For the CT 100, the engine produces 7.7 PS and 8.24 Nm of torque.

Both the motorcycles have an achievable top-speed of 90 km/hr. The motor comes paired to a 4-speed manual gearbox. Recently, Bajaj also launched the Platina and CT100 with a 110cc engine. The engine produces 8.6 PS and 9.81 Nm of peak torque. As for the Platina 110, it also gets an optional 5-speed gearbox.
Platina and CT100 get telescopic forks at the front and spring-loaded suspension at the back. Drum brakes at both the ends with Combi-Braking System (CBS) as standard fitment handle the braking duties.
Soon, Bajaj will start launching other BS6 models, all with fuel injection as standard. Its next new motorcycle will be the Dominar 250, likely to come in the next few months. It will use a detuned version of the KTM Duke 250’s engine.

Also, the manufacturer recently confirmed its upcoming motorcycles with its new partner Triumph. Both will develop motorcycles ranging between 200-750cc engine capacity, with prices starting under 2 Lakhs.
