BS6 Bajaj Avenger 160 and Avenger 220 have already started reaching dealerships. Both the models are now compliant and their prices are out as well. Most of the dealerships have commenced bookings for them, unofficially.
BS6 Bajaj Avenger 160 goes for Rs 89,536, seeing a price hike of Rs 7,500 over BS4. BS6 Avenger 220 Street and 220 Cruise now costs Rs 1,15,546 (all prices ex-showroom), demanding Rs 11,500 over the BS4 models.
BS6 Avengers just get an engine upgrade and nothing else. BS6 Bajaj Avenger 160 continues with the same 160cc single-cylinder engine, producing 14.8 BHP and 13.5 Nm of peak torque. It now gets a Fuel Injection system instead of Carburettor.

Even the BS6 Avenger 220, continues with its 220cc engine, producing 19 BHP and 17.5 Nm of peak torque. Both the engines come mated to a 5-sped gearbox. With FI included, the mileage figures have improved by 10-15%.
Avenger 160 Street was launched last year, replacing the 180. The 180cc Bajaj engine was comparatively older and less fuel-efficient. The 160cc engine comes from the NS160, producing more power and offering more mileage.
Both, Avenger 160 and Avenger 220 get the same suspension setup, with telescopic forks at the front and twin shock absorbers at the back. Both also get a front disc and a rear drum brake, with single-channel ABS as standard.
