We have compared the price of BS6 2020 Tata Harrier with the BS4 version to see how much costlier has every variant gotten.
Tata launched the BS6 2020 Harrier at the Auto Expo 2020. The SUV gets minor cosmetic changes to go with some new features, an automatic gearbox and a more powerful engine. Its prices now start at Rs 13.60 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).
Harrier gets new and bigger 18-inch alloy wheels, new colour options with dual-tone treatment, auto-dimming IRVMs, electric seat height adjustment and a panoramic sunroof. Finally, it also gets an engine bump, its 2.0 Litre diesel engine now produces 170 PS instead of 140 PS.
In comparison to the BS4 version, the price of 2020 Tata Harrier has not increased that much. However, with the new automatic gearbox and their variants, the price range has increased by a considerable margin.

If compared with BS4, the price of 2020 Tata Harrier BS6 has increased by a maximum of up to 40,000. However, with the addition of new variants, the top-spec manual trims of BS6 Harrier go up to Rs 18.95 Lakhs. Earlier, the price range of Harrier ended at Rs 17.30 Lakhs.
Also, the Dark Edition, which is now very popular amongst Harrier owners, is technically 1.70 Lakhs costlier. Earlier, it came on the XT variant but now directly comes on the XZ variant. Even the dual-tone variants are only available on the top-spec XZ and XZ+ trims.

Taking the automatic variants into consideration, the price range of BS6 Harrier now ends Rs 3 Lakhs higher than earlier. It replaces Hexa as the flagship Tata car, but which will soon be replaced by the upcoming Gravitas or the 7-seater Harrier.

Tata Harrier competes with the likes of Jeep Compass, MG Hector and Mahindra XUV500. Hector and XUV500 are also priced similarly, but the Jeep Compass goes up to Rs 25 Lakhs (ex-showroom). Its costliest variant is the Compass Trailhawk Edition.
