Ford has stopped the bookings for BS4 Freestyle as the BS6 version is launching in the coming weeks. The bookings for BS6 version is now open.
Ahead of BS6 norms, Ford has started the bookings for BS6 Freestyle, Figo, Aspire and Endeavour. EcoSport just received the BS6 upgrade, with its lovable EcoBoost engine discontinued. All of them are expected to be launched before the end of this month.
Our dealership sources confirm that Ford has officially discontinued the BS4 Freestyle and they also have exhausted the stocks. BS6 Ford Freestyle is on the way and bookings for that have commenced across most of the dealerships.
BS6 Freestyle will continue with its existing petrol and diesel engines. The hatch gets a 1.2 Litre three-cylinder Dragon petrol engine, producing 95 BHP and 120 Nm of peak torque. The four-cylinder 1.5 Litre diesel engine produces 99 BHP and 215 Nm of peak torque.

Ford’s Dragon petrol engine makes it one of the most powerful hatchbacks in the country. Freestyle always came with a 5-speed manual gearbox only. It was supposed to get an automatic gearbox in 2019, but as of now, there are no reports of it getting one.
Freestyle is based on Figo but gets some tweaks to make it a sportier model. The overall styling is the same but Freestyle gets different alloy wheels, slightly increased ride height, new front and rear bumpers and improved handling and suspension.
Features on it include SYNC3 touchscreen infotainment system, steering mounted controls, height-adjustable driver seat, push-button start, auto headlamps, rain-sensing wipers and automatic climate control. Safety features include dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors and rear parking camera.

Freestyle also gets some out-of-the-box features like traction control, hill launch assist and electronic stability program. It is currently priced from Rs 5.91 Lakhs up to Rs 8.36 Lakhs (Ex-showroom Delhi).
