Yamaha has launched the BS-6 compliant R15 V3, with prices starting at Rs 1.45 Lakhs (ex-showroom). Other than that, it also gets some new features.
BS-6 Yamaha R15 V3 has now hit the Indian roads and is the second BS-6 model from the manufacturer. The prices of R15 V3 now start at Rs 1.45 Lakhs up to Rs 1.47 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi) and continues with the same three colours.

The prices have been increased by nearly Rs 5,000 for all the three colours. The BS-6 compliant 155cc liquid-cooled DOHC engine now produces 18.6 PS at 10,000 RPM and 14.1 Nm of peak torque at 8500 RPM. In comparison to the BS-4 version, the power is down by 0.5 PS and the torque by 0.8 Nm.

Additionally, the BS-6 Yamaha R15 V3 gets some new features and cosmetic upgrades as well. The Racing Blue colour now gets Blue alloy wheels. The Moto GP theme is now available with the BS-6 R15, as of now.
New features onboard include Side stand engine cut-off switch, Dual Horn and Radial Tubeless Tyres at the back. The existing features list includes a fully digital instrument console, LED headlamps, LED tail lights, dual-channel ABS and low-height clip-on handlebars.
For suspension, the R15 V3 gets telescopic forks at the front and a swingarm with monoshock at the back. Braking is handled by disc brakes at both the ends with a dual-channel ABS as standard fitment now.

The BS-6 Yamaha R15 V3 will start reaching dealerships by the 3rd week of December. We expect the deliveries to commence by the last week of December or early January 2020. The bookings for the same have already commenced across dealerships for a token of Rs 5,000.
