Toyota has started its BS-6 launches with the Innova Crysta and Touring Sport, which continues with the same diesel and petrol engines onboard.
Toyota Innova is the first model from the manufacturer to receive BS-6 compliant engines. The bookings for the same have commenced and a limited number of early buyers can book the Innova at celebratory prices.
The price range of Toyota Innova Crysta now starts at Rs 15.36 Lakhs up to Rs 21.34 Lakhs for the petrol variants and Rs 16.79 Lakhs to Rs 23.02 Lakhs for the diesel variants. The Touring Sport is priced from Rs 19.23 Lakhs up to Rs 24.06 Lakhs (ex-showroom).
The prices for petrol variants have been increased by Rs 23,000, whereas, the prices for diesel variants go up by Rs 1.43 Lakhs. BS-6 Toyota Innova Crysta continues with the same 2.7 litre petrol engine, 2.4 Litre and 2.8 Litre diesel engines.

Other highlights of the BS-6 Toyota Innova includes Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Hill Assist Control (HAC) and Emergency Brake Signal (EBS) as a standard fitment across all variants of Crysta and Touring Sport.
Innova gets a 2.7 Litre petrol engine which produces 163 BHP and 245 Nm of peak torque. The base variants come with a 2.4 Litre diesel engine which produces 147 BHP and 343 Nm of peak torque. The bigger 2.8 Litre diesel engine produces 171 BHP and 360 Nm of peak torque.
The petrol variants are paired up with choices of a 5-speed MT or a 6-speed torque-converter AT. The 2.4 Litre diesel engine only comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The bigger engine comes only with a 6-speed AT.

Because of the BS-6 norms, Toyota is going to discontinue the Etios and Etios Liva soon. Both the models are way past their life cycle and for the last couple years, only attracted commercial buyers. Soon, the BS-6 Toyota Fortuner and Yaris will also be launched.
