Ahead of its launch in a few days, the prices of BS-6 Honda City have been leaked. As of now, it might only come in petrol, with diesel engine coming in later.
Honda is commencing its BS-6 launches with the City sedan. Some weeks ago, we reported that the BS-6 Honda City will be based on the outgoing version and not on the new generation that will be unveiled globally this month.
Ahead of the launch in the coming days, the prices of BS-6 Honda City petrol have been leaked. Looks like Honda will offer the BS-6 City in petrol for the time-being and the BS-6 diesel engine will be introduced in the coming months.
Following is the entire new price list of the City sedan:

As you see, all the petrol variants have been retained. The price difference ranges from Rs 10,000 to 16,000 for different variants. Under the hood, you have the same 1.5 Litre four-cylinder petrol engine, that puts out 119 BHP and 145 Nm of peak torque. The transmission options include a 5-speed manual gearbox and CVT.
The 1.5 Litre diesel engine will be upgraded to BS-6 norms well before April 2020. The oil-burner produces 100 BHP and 200 Nm of peak torque, with a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard. The same engine comes with the Jazz, WR-V and BR-V as well.
Meanwhile, on November 25, Honda will unveil the new-generation City sedan in Thailand. It has been spied testing internationally as well as on the Indian roads and we will get it by mid-2020. The sedan will get a new design language, new features and will be bigger as well.

Primary highlights of the upcoming 2020 Honda City include the possibility of a new 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, more cabin space and Diesel-CVT combination. Not to forget, but the new City will also get the mild-hybrid petrol engine.
