Hero Motocorp has launched its as well as India’s first BS-6 motorcycle, the Splendor i-Smart 110. It is priced starting at Rs 64,900 (ex-showroom Delhi).
Hero has kickstarted its BS-6 launches with the new Splendor i-Smart 110. The BS-6 compliant commuter has been launched and the bookings for that have also commenced. The updated units will start reaching the dealerships across the country by the end of this month.
The BS-6 Hero Splendor i-Smart 110 starts at Rs 64,900 (ex-showroom Delhi). In comparison to the BS-4 version, the prices have increased by Rs 7,000. Along with the new compliant engine, the bike also gets a refreshed styling.
The bike now uses a 113.2cc air-cooled engine with programmed Fuel-injection system. Because of these upgrades, the engine now produces 9.03 BHP at 7500 RPM and 9.89 Nm of torque at 5500 RPM. The torque has been increased by 10%. With the inclusion of FI, the mileage will also be higher by 10-15%.

Other mechanical updates include the all-new diamond frame. As a result, the wheelbase is now 36mm longer at 1270mm. While the seat height remains the same, the ground clearance has been increased by 15mm to 185mm. The kerb weight of the bike is 116 kgs with a fuel tank capacity of 9.5 Litres.
Suspension is handled by conventional forks at the front and twin shock absorbers at the back, with 120mm front suspension travel. Braking is handled by a 240mm front disc brake and a 130mm rear drum brake with Integrated Braking System (IBS).
The fuel injection comes with 6-sensor technology, which are:
- Manifold Air Pressure Sensor For Smoother Ride
- Throttle Position Sensor for Torque on Demand
- Digital Fuel Injector and Oxygen Sensor for Better Fuel Economy
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor For Better Engine Life
- Air Inlet Temperature Sensor For Easy Start
- Bank Angle Sensor For Improved Rider Safety

Features onboard include a digital analogue meter, side stand indicator, Hero’s i3S technology, split grab rails and alloy wheels. Talking about the styling, you now get three dual-tone colour options – Blue/Black, Red/Black and Grey/Black.
The BS-6 compliant Hero Splendor i-Smart 110 will continue to rival the likes of Bajaj Platina 110, Honda Dream Yuga, TVS Radeon and Yamaha Saluto.
