There is no shortage of innovative people in the world and this particular incident highlights just how talented people can get.
An engineer from Brazil showcased his talent on the internet after he created a tricycle that runs on steam power. Now, we know how much focus goes into looking for alternative sources of energy in the automobile industry due to environmental concerns. However, this is certainly a unique source to drive power to make a tricycle move. Since electric vehicles are too costly for the majority of the world’s population, such innovative and inexpensive solutions could solve the purpose, to some extent.

Engineer From Brazil Creates Tricycle That Runs on Steam
In the video clip we have here, a Brazilian is seen riding a tricycle on the road with water vapours coming out of it. It is developed by him from scratch. Interestingly, the tricycle has been constructed using only recycled materials. He is known for creating numerous such products which are all there on his YouTube channel. For this tricycle, he used the suspension rods from an old motorcycle and the seat of a car which is adjustable.

Using his vision, he installed a drum at the rear of the tricycle which houses the wood and fire needed to convert the water into steam. That steam powers the mechanism which requires no pedal input from the rider. He/She could simply sit on the custom seat and enjoy the ride. Being a barebones product though, the operation is quite noisy and fiddly. As seen and heard in this short clip, it makes a prominent sound while travelling. Talking about the top speed, it could achieve 50 km/h which is decent.

He mentions that the region he lives in has an abundance of forests and water. Therefore, getting wood and water to burn and produce steam is not difficult at all. In fact, the drum at the rear allows the user to prepare barbeque as well. Hence, it is great for partying anywhere. The coal formed from the wood heats the food perfectly and one could enjoy a sumptuous meal anytime. How did you like this unique innovation?
