This red hot BMW Z4 worth Rs 80 Lakhs crashed into a Tata Tiago. The latter was parked at a roadside and the Z4 rear ended it. The speed was ofcourse slow but still high enough to leave a significant dent on the BMW. You can see its beautiful nose being damaged along with the grille receiving some scratches. The paint has also been chipped.

In the case of Tiago, there’s literally no damage seen. There are a couple of scratches on the bumper which can be lived with. The left side of the bumper has come out which you can easily put back in shape with your bare hands. Even the paint has not been chipped off, which tells us a lot about both the cars.
There’s no point talking about safety because the crash happened at as low as 20 km/hr. But, if we put in the build quality of the cars, then we have something interesting. BMW Z4 gets a NCAP crash test safety rating of 5 stars, which is the highest. However, in India, we do not have the latest one and rather the previous generation, which gets a 3 star rating.
Tata Tiago goes away with a 4-star safety rating, being the third safest hatchback of India. The test was done with dual airbags as standard and the Tiago received enough points for safety of adult and child occupants. The safest hatch of India is Tata Altroz which is followed by the Volkswagen Polo.

Tiago is now a petrol-only hatchback running on a 1.2 Litre Revotron petrol engine. The engine is good for 86 PS and 113 Nm of peak torque, paired to a 5-speed MT and a 5-speed AMT. The prices of Tiago commence at Rs 4.6 Lakhs up to Rs 6.59 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).
