BMW X1 is scheduled for launch on 23rd December 2010 in Delhi by BMW India but the price and variants details are already spreading all over the Internet media. The information may not be accurate as its no official data, but these details seem quite believable and real. Anyways, it not far as the official launch will clear all the doubts, till then, lets see what information is floating around the Internet.
BMW X1 Variants In India
As per the information, BMW X1 will be available in three variants:
- BMW X1 Corporate Edition
- BMW X1 Highline
- BMW X1 Cool Elegance
The corporate edition will come with MPFI petrol and CRDI Diesel engine variants, other two variants, Highline and Cool Elegance will be available only with petrol engine. The petrol engine will be a 1.8 Litre Si Engine and the Diesel engine will be a 2 litre engine. BMW X1 will be assembled in Chennai plant of BMW where it will arrive as a CKD.
Price of BMW X1 In India
The starting price is kept at Rs. 22 Lakhs ex-showroom while the highest price of the top trim level will be kept around 32.5 lakhs.
- BMW X1 Corporate Edition with 1.8 Litre Petrol Engine will cost Rs. 22.00 Lakhs
- BMW X1 Corporate Edition with 2 Litre Diesel Engine will cost Rs. 23.90 Lakhs
- BMW Highline with 1.8 Litre Petrol Engine will cost Rs. 29.90 Lakhs
- BMW Cool Elegance with 1.8 Litre Petrol Engine will cost Rs. 32.50 Lakhs
Features of BMW X1 In India
BMW X1 will feature a rear wheel drive and comes with luxury features. Some of the luxury features like Electric sunroof, iDrive Interface, 6 CD Changer, Leather Seats and Wooden Inserts will be available in the Highline and Cool Elegance Variants only and not on the Corporate edition. Other features include Xenon headlamps, reverse parking sensors etc..
