In 2009 BMW launched a new product in the premium compact segment, the BMW X1. The car was an immediate success and gradually after more than one year, in 2010 it came to India. As expected the response was overwhelming owing to the fact that the styling, sportiness and features offered were unique.

Working on BMW’s X platform, the X1 turned out to be a one of its kind vehicle. For a quite long time a mid-life facelift was expected and finally the same has been spotted in Germany. Spotting the car came as a surprise and now the production model is expected to come by the end of 2012.
In the images here, the front and rear fenders have been redesigned since they are under the camouflage. Also what seems to be new is the head lamp design, which looks more aggressive now.

At the rear the tail lamps remain the same but experts are sure they will be changed later while development progresses ahead.

The X1 SAV is available under three trims in India, the sDrive18i, sDrive20d and Drive 20d. Rumor has it that the 2012 model might be introduced with a couple of new engine trims as well. X1 is quite popular for its fantastic road manners, driving dynamics and unmatched driving pleasure and we are sure the 2012 would add more charm to it.
