The BMW 3-Series GT Shadow edition essentially gets a blacked out makeover over the standard car and is solely available on the 330i M Sport variant for a price of Rs 42.50 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
BMW has launched a special edition of the 3-Series Gran Turismo in India called the Shadow Edition and it has been priced at Rs 42.50 lakh (ex-showroom, India). BMW has already announced that they will pull the plug on the Gran Turismo body style from the 3-Series range in all global markets and this Shadow Edition is sort of a swansong for the 3 Series Gran Turismo in India. The Shadow Edition is available in the sole 330i M Sport design variant and it essentially gives the BMW 3-Series GT a blacked out makeover.
Naturally, there are several blacked out elements on the exterior which include the black finish for the grille and tailpipes, new black 18-inch M alloy wheels, and the interior housing of the headlamps and tail lamps have also been blacked out. This being the M Sport variant, the M aerodynamic package which includes the front apron, side skirts and rear apron have also been finished in a ‘Dark Shadow Metallic’ paint.
Inside the cabin, the Shadow Edition gets the typical M styling elements like the M badging on the door sills, on the key fob and an M leather-wrapped sports steering wheel. It is also otherwise fully loaded with features such as an 8.8-inch iDrive infotainment system with Apple Car Play, dual-zone auto climate control, electrically adjustable driver and co-driver seats with memory function, a 9-speaker audio system, ambient lighting, a panoramic glass roof and an active rear spoiler as well.

There are four color options available with the shadow edition – Alpine White, Melbourne Red Metallic, Black Sapphire Metallic and Estoril Blue Metallic.

Under the hood, the BMW 3 Series GT Shadow Edition is powered by a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that churns out 252hp and 350Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to an 8-speed torque-converter automatic gearbox. BMW claims the 3-Series GT can sprint from 0-100 kph in just 6.1 seconds while the top-speed is limited to 250kph. After the 3-Series GT has been discontinued in India, it will be replaced by the long wheelbase version of the new-gen 3-Series (G20) that’s already on sale in China. It is longer by 110mm than the standard 3-Series GT and is expected to join BMW’s India line-up by mid-2021.
