BMW G310R and G310 GS are the most affordable BMW motorcycles in India. The sales figure for 2018 stood at 1640 units, since their launch in July.
BMW Motorrad made sales of total 2,187 units for the year 2018. Out which, 75% of the sales contribution comes from the newly launched G310R and G310GS.
BMW G310R and G310GS have contributed 1,640 units to the overall sales. On a monthly average, from July to December, the G310 Twins have made around 328 units on an average.

The sales recorded by BMW G310R and G310 GS are quite good for a premium bike. Although both qualify as the most affordable BMW bikes, but are also quite premium at the same time.
BMW G310R is a naked roadster with looks inspired by the elder naked bikes. Similarly, BMW G310 GS is an adventure motorcycle, which also inspires its look from the elder 1200 GS, inheriting the traditional GS Snout.
BMW Motorrad, in collaboration with TVS India, has made the G310 Twins. The Twins also use the same engine setup from TVS Apache RR310 but get some fine tunings done. That’s why their power figures stand almost the same.
BMW G310 Twins use a 312cc reverse-inclined liquid cooled engine. The engine produces 34 BHP and 28 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

For suspension purposes, BMW G310R and G310 GS used gold-anodized upside-down forks at the front and adjustable mono-shock at the back. G310 GS gets increased travel on both ends for better off-roading capabilities.
Features onboard include a fully digital instrument cluster, Motorrad dual-ABS, Smoked Turn Signal lenses, LED tail light and Cast Aluminium wheels. The ADV version gets a tool kit, bigger 19-inch rims and a luggage rack additionally.
The digital cluster displays information like distance to empty, clock, average fuel economy, average speed, RPM and more. It feels quite informative and readable in sunlight as well.
BMW G310R is priced at Rs 2.99 Lakhs and G310 GS goes for Rs 3.49 Lakhs (ex-showroom). Recently, discounts and benefits up to Rs 70,000 were offered on the G310 Twins.

G310 GS competes with the likes of Kawasaki Versys-X 300 and the upcoming KTM 390 Adventure.
