As an update for 2020, BMW Motorrad has updated the G 310 R and G 310 GS with two new colours. The prices for the same remain unchanged.
BMW has revealed the 2020 motorcycle lineup for the international market, and we see that the G 310 R and G 310 GS get new colours. Other than that, both the models do not get any other update.
BMW G 310 R already come in two colours and now gets Cosmic Black as an option. The entire motorcycle gets blacked out panels and the tank shroud gets a hint of red colour. Of course, it is Shiny Black and not Matte Black.
The G 310 GS gets a new Strato Blue Metallic colour with a yellow GS badging on the fuel tank. The beak-shaped mudguard actually gets the colour, while the rest of the motorcycle comes in a matte grey colour. The under seat panels and the frame remain blacked out and the rear luggage rack gets brushed metal finish.

The G 310 Twins are the most popular models from the premium two-wheeler manufacturer. The 310 R goes for Rs 2.99 Lakhs and the 310 GS goes for Rs 3.49 Lakhs (ex-showroom), making them a lot affordable.
The prices are kept in control thanks to its friend, TVS. The bikes are jointly developed with TVS, at their plant in Tamil Nadu. The RR310 and the 310 Twins use the same engine onboard.
The 313cc liquid-cooled reverse inclined DOHC engine produces 34 BHP and 28 Nm of peak torque. The motor comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox, which is actually very light. Check out more about the G 310 R in our road test review!

At the front, you get gold-anodized USD forks and a monoshock at the back. Front and rear disc brakes with dual-channel ABS come as standard fitments and the adventure motorcycle additionally gets switchable ABS.
Talking about the competition, the BMW G 310 Twins are the costliest one out there. The G 310 R goes against Duke 390, RE Interceptor 650 and Honda CB300R. All are priced well under the price of G 310 R. As of now, the GS faces competition only from the Kawasaki Versys X-300.
