BMW India has launched the 7-Series Signature edition in the country, with little upgrades compared to the standard version. Living up to its name the 7-Series Signature was unveiled at the BMW India Bridal Fashion week 2014. The new limited edition model is available with the more popular 730Ld variant in the 7-Series’ lineup and gets a host of new features that provide an exclusivity to the flagship luxury saloon from the Bavarian based automaker.

The BMW 7-Series Signature will cost you a hefty Rs. 1.22 Crore (while the 730LD costs around the Rs. 1.02 Crore).
New Features:
Speaking on the launch of the new model, Philipp von Sahr, president, BMW Group India, said, “Each BMW 7-Series Signature is like a piece of hand-writing – an assertion of personal style. It makes a compellingly individual statement and its unique character is seen in every detail from the wealth of equipment, luxurious materials and sophisticated colours. The new BMW 7-Series Signature is undoubtedly the most exclusive way to drive a BMW.”
The BMW 7-Series Signature edition offers you a set of new features including, the 1200-Watt Bang & Olufsen high-end Surround Sound system comprising of 16-speakers that come with new Dirac Dimensions signal processing offering excellent acoustics. The special edition also gets Integral Active Steering that offers improved control at low and high speeds alike and can also make the rear wheels turn in the opposite direction slightly, to aid turning or the parking process.
The new BMW 7-Series Signature Edition has gone on sale in two metallic paint shades,
- Imperial Blue Brilliant Effect
- Mineral White
On the inside, the cabin features extended wood trim, exclusive Nappa leather upholstery, BMW Individual rear reading lights and a cool box.
Mechanically, the new car remains unchanged and gets the same 3.0-litre six-cylinder diesel motor that powers the regular 730 Ld. This engine belts out a maximum power of 254.3 BHP and a peak torque of 560 Nm. All the power is sent to the rear wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission and the car can accelerate from zero to 100 KMPH in just 6.2 seconds. Top speed is electronically limited at 250 KMPH.
