The BMW 7 Series and the X7 both features signature laser headlights along with new dashboard design and among other premium features.
The flagship sedan from BMW, the 2019 7 series is all set to launch in Indian shores soon. For starters, the car picks up a completely new design with larger grille upfront along with BMW laser lights which will be seen on the X7 too, which will debut in India alongside the 7-series.
The 2019 BMW 7 series adds more muscle to the sides and the rear profile sees slimmer taillights along with wider exhaust pipes with chrome garnishing. On the inside, it features a new dashboard design and infotainment system gets upgraded with recent firmware.
It will get a Harman/Kardon music system for a surround experience, wireless charging, BMW iDrive system with the new infotainment unit, lane-monitoring, in-built perfume are some of the features expected in the new facelifted sedan. A newly designed steering wheel with updated controls, upgraded seats which provide comfort and are finished in leather.

The 7 series spied here gets a three-litre straight-six, turbocharged diesel engine. It is available with 730d trim and churns out a total of 269 bhp and a peak torque of 620 Nm. Another 4.4-litre, twin turbo V8 engine, churns out a total of 530 bhp along with a healthy torque of 750 Nm. BMW claims that 0-100 km/h sprint can be done well under 4 seconds. Both the engines will be mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
The flagship sedan competes against the likes of Mercedes S-class, Audi A8, Jaguar XJL and Lexus LS. The expected price for the upcoming sedan is Rs 1.40 crore for the base trim.
Other than the 7 series, BMW is going to launch the big SUV, X7 which is completely an all-new SUV. The BMW X7 is based on the CLAR platform which also underpins several other BMW cars. It underpins the 7-series sedan, the new generation X5, the 5-series and also the X3. Of course, the platform is highly modified to suit each of these cars individually. The X7 is a behemoth of a car. It is over 5 meters longs and weighs about 2.3 tonnes.
On the inside, the sight is much familiar with other new BMW models. The X7 gets the latest interior design language from BMW. The dashboard is flanked by two 12.3-inch screens – one displays the instrument cluster while the other is the infotainment screen.

With the BMW X7 launch, this new flagship SUV is expected to cost around Rs. 1.25 crores (ex-showroom, India). This is the first time ever there has been an X7 and it’s just going to make the competition in the luxury SUV segment a little tougher.
