Also, the fuel-injected bike, as per TVS, has a 1PS higher output than its carbureted twin. Honda Bikes at Auto Expo 2018
Honda CBR300R
Estimated Price | Rs. 2-2.2 lakh |
Specifications | Fuel-injected, single-cylinder, 286cc |
Launch Date | April 2018 |
This is the bike that finally replaces the aged CBR250R. By bringing a fresh new bike in the sub-500cc range, Honda may be able to rekindle public interest in the brand. After all, the CBR250R has been outgunned and outclassed by better players such as the R3 and Ninja 300. Yes, they are all costlier than CBR250R, but they are much better too. Let’s see how they fare against the CBR300R.
Honda CBR250RR

Specifications | Fuel-injected, single-cylinder, 249.7cc |
Launch Date | July/August 2018 |
This is the bike most people will be waiting for with bated breath. A full-blown race replica motorcycle from Honda is a prospect few people can keep at bay. With more people coming down to low-displacement motorcycles, this is the bike that will make Honda relevant beyond measure. After all, this is the bike that can really take on the RC 390 and not the CBR300R.
2018 Honda CBR650F
Estimated Price | Rs. 4 – 6 lakh |
Specifications | Fuel-injected, four-cylinder, 649cc |
Launch Date | May 2018 |
This middleweight sportbike from Honda is a derivative of the CB650F naked bike. However, as it is not a full-blown supersport bike, it sports fairly comfortable ergonomics and that makes this bike a better daily driver than most bikes out there. Who needs a litrebike when you can have a middleweight that has comfortable seating position and usable power for city and highway riding conditions?
Honda PCX 150
Estimated Price | Rs 80,000 – 85,000 |
Specifications | Fuel-injected, single-cylinder, 153cc |

The upcoming model is powered by a 153cc, single-cylinder, SOHC liquid-cooled engine that benefits from PGM-FI fuel injection system. It comes mated to a CVT. Features include a anti-theft system and a smart navigation unit amongst others. Certainly one model to watch out for among all the Honda bikes at Auto Expo 2018.

Specifications | Fuel-injected, single-cylinder, 291.6 cc |

The XRE 300 gets a 291.6 cc, DOHC, single-cylinder engine that outputs 25.4 BHP @ 7,500 RPM and 27.6 Nm @ 6,000 RPM.
Honda CB Hornet 160R Full Fairing model
Estimated Price | Rs. 95,000 |
Specifications | Carbureted, Single-cylinder, 162.7cc |
Launch Date | February 2018 |
This could be one of the most important new motorcycles among all Honda bikes at Auto Expo 2018. The full fairing version of the CB Hornet 160R will become a direct rival to the Suzuki Gixxer SF. It may be noted here that the Gixxer SF has been successful in gradually establishing a strong foothold in the market. The upcoming Hornet full fairing model will try to eat into the market share of the Gixxer SF. Specifications are expected to remain much the same. However, HMSI could still tweak the engine a bit for this bike. Prices could start at roughly Rs 95,000. This bike will get all the features that are available on its streetnaked sibling. This upcoming Honda bike will become the only fully-faired Honda motorcycle below Rs 1 lakh.
Honda Scoopy
Estimated Price | Rs 60,000 |
Specifications | Carbureted, single-cylinder 109.19cc |
Launch Date | February 2018 |
The Scoopy could become the second of the two new Honda scooters at Auto Expo 2018. The Scoopy is on sale in America as the ‘Metropolitan’. It’s also available in Indonesia, where it gets with features such as LED headlamp and theft alarm. However, it’s not sure if these features would make it to India. For India, this cutesy automatic scooter is likely to get the same engine that powers the Activa 4G. This engine comes mated to a CVT and outputs 8 BHP and 9 Nm. Upon its India launch, the Honda Scoopy scooter will rival the likes of Yamaha Fascino and Vespa LX.
Honda Grom
Estimated Price | Rs 62,000 – Rs 70,000 |
Specifications | Carbureted, single-cylinder 124.9cc |
Launch Date | February 2018 |
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India might decide to launch the Honda MSX 125 Grom mini-bike at the Auto Expo 2018. The Grom won’t come cheap as its prices are likely to start at roughly Rs 62,000. It will be powered by a 124.9cc engine that will output in tune of 9.7 BHP and 10.9 Nm. It looks like the Grom will be promoted as a sporty offering in India. It will weigh only about 101 KGs, which means that even with roughly 10 BHP of max. power, the new Grom will be considerably fun to ride. It will be aimed mainly at college-goers and teeny bloopers.
Honda Rebel 300
Estimated Price | Rs 2,00,000 – Rs 2,20,000 |
Specifications | 286cc, Liquid-cooled single-cylinder four-stroke |
Launch Date | February 2019 |
This is the bike that will finally enable HMSI to rival the Royal Enfield 350 models. It will sahre its engine and other bits with the Honda CBR300R. However, with a price of roughly Rs 2 lakh and decent power and torque outputs along with a cruiser-style look, it can take the fight straight to not just some REs but also the Bajaj Dominar 400.
Yamaha Bikes at Auto Expo 2018
Yamaha YZF-R15 V3.0
Estimated Price | Rs. 1.2 – 1.4 lakh |
Specifications | Fuel-injected, single-cylinder, 149cc |
Launch Date | September/October 2018 |
Finally, the R15 will get an upgrade worthy of its reputation as a small-displacement supersport bike. Other than a new 155cc engine, the Version 3.0 will give the bike an all-new look, new features, new colour options and some new-found edginess. Now, not only will it be a great look but a nimbler handler too.
Yamaha Fazer 250
Estimated Price | Rs. 1.3 lakh |
Specifications | Fuel-injected, single-cylinder, 249cc |
Launch Date | September 2018 |
The Fazer 250 is a derivative of the FZ-25. As such, it is almost the same as the latter bike save for the full fairing it wears. Unlike the Fazer, which was a disaster, this bike should fair much better in the Indian market.
2018 Yamaha YZF-R3
Estimated Price | Rs. 3.4 lakh |
Specifications | Fuel-injected, parallel-twin, 321cc |
Launch Date | April 2018 |
The YZF-R3 is a great bike but has been pulled from the market as it has a BSIII engine. However, it has some crucial bits missing such as ABS that make it a friendlier bike to use on a daily basis. Moreover, it ergonomics give it the feeling of a sport tourer than a full-blow low-displacement race bike. Come Auto Expo 2018, let’s see if Yamaha is able to fix all those issues or not.
Yamaha MT-03
Estimated Price | Rs. 3.2 lakh |
Specifications | Fuel-injected, parallel-twin, 321cc |
Launch Date | July 2018 |
The MT-03 is the naked version of the YZF-R3. To that end, it has similar ergonomics, similar engine specs and similar styling too (sans fairing, that is). Speculation about the bike coming to India was at a high. However, what we got instead was the FZ-25. Let’s see if Yamaha will finally bring the MT-03 to India now.
Yamaha Nozza Grande
Estimated Price | Rs. 55,000 |
Specifications | Fuel-injected, single-cylinder, 125 cc |

The FZ 10 will launch in India via CBU route and will cost north of Rs 14 lakh. It is powered by a 998cc four-cylinder, crossplane crankshaft engine that comes from the R1. The motorcycle has a top speed of 250 kmph and can go from 0 to 100 kmph in just 3.4 seconds.
Hero Bikes at Auto Expo 2018
Hero HX250R
Estimated Price | Rs 1.5 lakh |
Specifications | Fuel-injected, single-cylinder, 249cc |
Launch Date | September 2018 |
Now that Honda is not its partner, Hero has to stand up in the market on its own. To do so, it has to launch new products in the market. For that reason, there is the HX250R that may show face at Auto Expo 2018. After all, the market for small displacement sport bikes is growing and missing out on it means losing relevance for Hero. This, it cannot afford to do.
Hero Hastur
Estimated Price | Rs. 3 – 5 lakh |
Specifications | Fuel-injected, parallel-twin, 620cc |
Launch Date | December 2018 |
This bike, the last time we saw it, was in its concept form. Looking at its image, you will be reminded a lot of the Yamaha’s big-displacement FZ bikes. However, it is a mean machine in its own right, coming with a 620cc engine. If Hero is able to keep this bike’s costs in check, it may have a winner on its hands with Hastur.
Hero Xtreme 200R
Estimated Price | Rs. 90,000 – 95,000 |
Specifications | Carbureted, single-cylinder, 223cc |
Launch Date | February 2018 |
The Hero Xtreme 200R is surely taking its own sweet time to launch in India. The Xtreme 200R will, however, officially launch in the market at the Auto Expo 2018. This upcoming Hero bike will become the biggest-ever motorcycle to wear the Xtreme moniker. It will get a 200cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine which is likely to output around 18.4 PS at 8000 rpm and 17.1 Nm at 6500 rpm.
Hero ZIR 150
Estimated Price | Rs. 70,000 – 75,000 |
Specifications | Carbureted, single-cylinder, 157cc |
Launch Date | April 2018 |
The Hero Zir will be another of the upcoming automatic scooters at Auto Expo 2018. The Zir will be to the Hero what the PCX 150 is to Honda. The Zir gets its juice from a liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine that outputs 14 BHP and 12.7 Nm. The scooter has a top speed of 110 KMPL. It comes with a 9 litre fuel tank, which makes the Zir far more suitable for long rides than most other automatic scooters, which generally have a fuel tank capacity of up to 5-litre only.
Kawasaki Bikes at Auto Expo 2018
Kawasaki ZX-10RR
Estimated Price | Rs. 30 – 33 lakh |
Specifications | Fuel-injected, four-cylinder, 999cc |
Launch Date | August 2018 |
The Kawasaki ZX-10RR is a limited-edition version of the ZX-10R. Hence, it is more costly than the regular bike. This bike’s specs include Showa’s Balance Free Suspension and Brembo M50 brakes and that is just the tip of the iceberg. It is a real mean machine.
Suzuki Bikes at Auto Expo 2018
Suzuki Gixxer 250
Estimated Price | Rs. 1.2 lakh |
Specifications | Carbureted, single-cylinder, 259.3cc |
Launch Date | August/September 2018 |
It seems the Gixxer 150 needs a big brother too. After having taken on its competitors successfuly for a few years, the Gixxer may just get a big brother next year in Gixxer 250. If it continues the same tradition as the Gixxer 150 (good looks and sweet engine), expect it to become as popular as its little brother.
Suzuki V-Storm 250
Estimated Price | Rs. 2 lakh |
Specifications | Fuel-injected, parallel-twin, 248cc |
Launch Date | September 2018 |
The Suzuki V-Storm 250 will be second of the two Suzuki bikes at Auto Expo 2018. The V-Storm 250 is an entry-level adventure motorcycle that is based on the Suzuki Inazuma. It may be noted here that the Inazuma 250 was earlier on sale in India but was taken off the shelves owing to poor demand. The India-bound bike should come in two trims- ABS and Non-ABS. The new motorcycle will go up against the likes of Kawasaki Versys 250. Powering this motorcycle is a 248cc, four-stroke, liquid-cooled, SOHC parallel-twin engine that outputs 25 BHP-23.40 Nm. The engine comes mated to a six-speed Manual Transmission.
BMW Bikes at Auto Expo 2018
BMW G 310 GS
Estimated Price | Rs. 2 – 2.5 lakh |
Specifications | Fuel-injected, single cylinder, 313cc |
Launch Date | May 2018 |
If you thought the G 310 R is the only thing born from BMW-TVS partnership, think again. the G 310 GS is a dual-purpose bike based on the G 310 R. It makes a whole lot of more sense for BMW to bring it to India than anything else. Why? Firstly, the market for dual-purpose bikes is growing here and two, a bike like this makes more sense in India than a sport bike.
Vespa Bikes at Auto Expo 2018
Vespa Primavera 125
Estimated Price | Rs. 2 – 3 lakh |
Specifications | Fuel-injected, single cylinder, 124.5cc |
Launch Date | July 2018 |

With a disc brake up front, the Primavera 125 is sold in 5 colours internationally. Expect it to come to India unchanged, albeit with a big price tag.
Aprilia Bikes at Auto Expo 2018
Aprilia Caponord 1200
Estimated Price | Rs. 10 – 12 lakh |
Specifications | Fuel-injected, V-Twin, 1197cc |
Launch Date | November/December 2018 |
The Caponord is Aprilia’s dual purpose bike. To go off road, it has long travel suspension. At 125HP power output from its 1197cc V-Twin engine, that is manageable power for a seasoned rider. To help newbies, the bike has traction control and ABS. Aprilia sells the bike internationally in two colour shades. Expect both to be on offer in India.
New Yezdi Bikes at Auto Expo 2018
Yes, you read it right! Iconic bike manufacturer Yezdi will participate at the Auto Expo 2018 and bring a slew of new models for India. UM Global Bikes at Auto Expo 2018
The company, which made its debut at the Auto Expo 2016, plans to come up with a handful of new products for the Indian market. Some of these are likely to be seen at the Auto Expo 2018. Here’s a quick lowdown at UM Global bikes at Auto Expo 2018 –
New Scrambler
UM Global is reportedly working on a scrambler version of the Renegade cruisers currently sold here. The bike will employ the Renegade frame which is expected to be strengthened for off-road use. It is expected to get long-travel front forks and twin gas-charged shock absorbers at the rear. The Scrambler is expected to get clip-on handlebars and a detachable pillion seat hump. Suspension travel is expected to be less on the cafe racer as well, owing to its primary on-road use.
Hypersport
UM’s other upcoming bike is a dual-purpose machine from its international lineup. The UM Hypersport test mules have been seen testing in India for a while now and UM has recently launched it in Nepal too. Now, having a plant in Pantnagar in Uttarakhand, closer to the Indo-Nepal border, it would make sense for UM to manufacture and export the Hypersport from here. The UM Hypersport is a mini supermoto with a lightweight body and road-spec suspension and tyres. The bike comes with disc brakes on both wheels and weighs a scant 144kg (dry).
New Cruiser
The upcoming offering from UM is expected to be a cruiser. The bike will share the cycle parts with the existing models. Certain features like USB charging might be skipped in favour of a stricter price. The upcoming bike will carry the safety features like 360 degree LED lights and Disc brake. It will be targeted at a pocket-friendly model hence is expected to undercut the Bullet 350 Classic by a considerable margin. The bike is expected to launch at 2018 Auto Expo along with the new 230cc engine.
Renegade Duty 230
The Renegade Duty 230 will make its India debut at the Auto Expo 2018. The upcoming UM Global motorcycle is a new 230cc variant in the Renegade range of cruisers. The new motorcycle has already started reaching dealership stockyards. In all probability, the market launch will happen soon after the Expo debut if not at the motor show itself. The Duty 230 will likely cost Rs 1.20 lakh (ex-showroom).
Renegade Electric
UM Global is also planning to come up with the Renegade Electric cruiser at the Delhi Auto Expo 2018. It’s still not sure if the UM Renegade Electric would launch in India in near future, the company could use the Expo to gauge the interest of the show-goers. UM unveiled the electric version of the Renegade cruiser motorcycle at the 2017 EICMA. Powering the UM Renegade Electric is a water-cooled electric motor that outputs a maximum power that is comparable to that of a typical 600cc internal combustion motorcycle engine.
Twenty Two Motors at Auto Expo 2018
Flow Electric Scooter
Twenty Two Motors is a Gurgaon-based start-up that plans to launch its Flow electric scooter in India. Powering the Flow is a 2.1 kW electric motor. The new scooter weighs just 85 KGs and boasts a payload capacity of 150 KGs. This EV has a range of 80 KMs on a single charge. The green scooter has a top speed of 60 kmph and its price is expected to be Rs 60,000.

Bajaj Pulsar 150NS
Estimated Price | Rs. 60,000-75,000 |
Specifications | Carbureted single cylinder 149.7cc |
Launch Date | May 2018 |
The Pulsar 150NS follows in the footsteps of the 200NS. Hence, expect it to have the same trellis frame as the bigger bike. Bajaj Pulsar RS400
Estimated Price | Rs. 1.6 lakh |
Specifications | Fuel-injected single cylinder 373.2cc |
Launch Date | May/June 2018 |
Finally, the time comes to see the KTM’s 373cc engine in the Pulsar RS range. The RS400 borrows the engine from the Austrian company and drops it in an edgy bike (look-wise). This should satiate the enthusiasts who were waiting for Puslar RS200 to gain more power but not much in terms of price.
Bajaj Dominar 200
Estimated Price | Rs. 80,000 – 90,000 |
Specifications | Fuel-injected single cylinder 199.5cc |
Launch Date | August 2018 |
The Dominar 400 has been pretty successful for Bajaj. Not only does it offer the KTM 390 engine at a lower cost than Duke/RC bikes, it offers it in a comfier ergonomical package. However, even though its cost is not as much as the Duke/RC bikes, it offers a number of first-in-class features. Expect the Dominar 200 to borrow KTM’s RC200/ 200 Duke engine and leave the rest of the bike unchanged.
Bajaj Boxer X150

The motor comes mated to a four-speed manual transmission. Prices are expected to start at roughly Rs 50,000.

Estimated Price | Rs. 3.5 – 4 Lakh |
Specifications | Fuel-injected twin cylinder 749.6cc |
Launch Date | June 2018 |
Royal Enfield’s first foray in big-bike territory may start with a 750cc Himalayan. Why? The Himalayan is the most recent bike the company makes. Hence, tweaking it for a bigger engine will be easier than any other bike. Also, this may be the first time Royal Enfield uses a two-cylinder configuration on its bikes than a single Thumper.
Continental GT 750cc
Estimated Price | Rs. 3.5 Lakh |
Specifications | Fuel-injected twin cylinder 749.6cc |
Launch Date | June 2018 |
Another 750cc RE headed our way is the Continental GT 750. Currently, the Continental sports a 535cc single-cylinder engine. Sadly, the rather tasty-looking cafe racer hasn’t attained a very high popularity. However, all this could be set to change with the advent of the GT 750. The engine will benefit from fuel injection and output a max. power of 46 BHP and a peak torque of 62 Nm. Currently, the GT 535 outputs a max. power of 29.1 BHP and a peak torque of 44 Nm. The only change in the design will arise out of the twin exhaust setup. The bike has twinexhausts, each slung on either side of the bike.
New Bullet Electra
Estimated Price | Rs. 1.40 lakh |
Specifications | Fuel-injected, single-cylinder, 346cc |
Launch Date | March 2018 |
The next generation Bullet Electra could be one of the most important Royal Enfield bikes at Auto Expo 2018. The new motorcycle will come with several updates whilst maintaining the evergreen charm of the original Electra. The most important update will be mechanical. The 2018 Electra could get a new fuel-injected engine. This 346cc engine is likely to output 22 BHP of max. power and 30 Nm of peak torque. While this will be only a small increase over the carburetred 346cc motor, the gains in refinement and fuel mileage could be tremendous. The engine will come mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.

Specifications | Fuel-injected, V-Twin, 937cc |
Launch Date | July/August 2018 |
Ducati SuperSport is not a full-blow supersport bike like the 1299 Panigale. However, it is not as tame as the Scrambler either. Hence, Ducati had to give this bike a middle-of-the-road treatment in engine department. However, in proper hands, it is powerful and capable enough to shame more powerful bikes than itself. The fact that it does not sacrifice daily usability for that is a commendable aspect of this bike.

MV Agusta bikes are deeply desirable machines. The F3 takes after one of the most desirable two-wheelers on the planet, the F4. Oh, there is also the triple organ pipe exhaust tha gives this bike away as the ‘lesser’ MV.
