Car enthusiasts and bike lovers are always expressing their admiration for their favorite vehicles in creative ways. Now, a new world record has been created as a tribute to the new-gen Mahindra Thar. The new artwork by Punith G.R. from Mandya, Karnataka has been documented in the India Book of Records. The giant rangoli of the 2020 Mahindra Thar measures 20 feet x 18 feet in size. This is the world’s largest rangoli of a vehicle. Let’s take a look!

Mr. Punith G.R. stated that they created the huge rangoli for Anand Mahindra (chairman of Mahindra Group). The idea was to gift the India book of records certificate to Mr. Mahindra. The second-gen Mahindra Thar is one the most successful cars from the Indian brand. It has created a loyal customer base in the Indian market. As you can see above, the record-holding rangoli looks amazing. Mr. Punith G.R. has done a great job of graphically representing the all-new Mahindra off-roader.
The 4×4 Mahindra Thar comes with great off-roading capabilities. The 3-door SUV comes with 2 engine options – a 2.2-liter turbo-diesel and a 2-liter turbo-petrol. The oil-burner makes 130 PS/320 Nm of peak figures while the petrol makes 150 PS/320 Nm of max figures. Transmission options for both the powertrains are a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic with a low range box. You can choose from six different color shades namely- Galaxy Grey, Rocky Beige, Mystic Copper, Red Rage, Aqua Marine, and Napoli Black.

The 2020 Mahindra Thar comes with a starting price of Rs 12.10 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the base trim. The top-end model costs Rs 14.15 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Currently, it has a huge waiting period (extending up to one year for several trims). The features on the vehicle include automatic climate control, cruise control, and a semi-digital instrument cluster. There is also a touchscreen infotainment unit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
