Bentley Bentayga Getting Minor Touch-ups at Roadside Workshop?
The Bentley Bentayga was launched in India a few years ago. It is the first SUV from the British car manufacturer in the country. The expensive is quite popular among Indian celebrities and businessmen. Like many luxury cars, it is also quite expensive to maintain. However, a Bentley Bentayga was repaired by a roadside mechanic in Mumbai. When this image was shared by Automobili Ardent on their Facebook page, it went viral. Netizens are pretty amused by the sight of a multi-crore SUV at a local repair shop.

As you can see in the image above, it isn’t quite clear what problem is being fixed by the mechanic. Since the Bentley Bentayga appears to be in good condition, it can be assumed that it did not have significant damage. However, you can see the grille of the car is missing. The fuel filler cap is also not visible. Also, the mechanic is in front of the car with its bonnet open. While it seems that the mechanic was working in the engine bay, it is more likely that the luxurious SUV is getting a paint touch-up job. It’s worth nothing here that many mechanics tend to remove the fuel-filler cap and use it as a reference point for the preparation of paint for the touch-ups.
Luxury Car Owners Often Save Lakhs Through Unauthorized Workshops
Since paint jobs require multiple layers of coats, the whole process can be pretty expensive for high-end cars. Getting a Bentley Bentayga painted from an authorized dealership would cost the owner lakhs of rupees. While the roadside mechanics will not offer the same quality as the company service center, hiring them for minor dents or scratches is wiser. And it will only cost thousands.

The Bentley Bentayga is quite popular among Indian customers. It is a family favorite of the billionaire Ambanis. In India, the company offers both the V8 and W12 models. The base model is powered by a 4.0-liter V8 engine that offers a maximum power of 542 Bhp and a peak torque of 770 Nm. On the other hand, the top-end version is powered by a 6.0-liter W12 petrol engine that produces a maximum power of 600 Bhp and a peak torque of 900 Nm. However, Bentley plans to discontinue the W12 version in April 2024. The company will be focusing on electric vehicles in the future.
