Singaporean influencer-turned-actor Benjamin Tan recently bought a luxurious Jaguar E-Pace Prestige to add to his already impressive car collection. Tan is fluent in English and Mandarin and started his career as an influencer. However, his path took him to acting and he established himself as a prominent celebrity in Singapore in 2018. Among the successful engagements, he was a part of the English TV Series, Lion Mums Season 3 and Emerald Hill. At the young age of 23, he has amassed enormous wealth. Benjamin Tan Buys Jaguar E-Pace
Tan shared this information with the world using an Instagram story calling the Jaguar E-Pace his dream car. He mentions that he was torn between Porsche Panamera and Jaguar E-Pace. However, with the increase in costs of living and COE (Certificate of Entitlement) in Singapore, Porsche made less sense. Also, to keep costs in check, he bought a 3-year-old used car. Taking a look at the average prices of a 3-year-old E-Pace reveals that the actor must’ve shelled out anywhere between S$120,000 to S$140,000.

Tan is big on comfort which is what explains him driving a Mercedes prior to buying the Jaguar. In fact, he got a good value for this Mercedes which he traded in to buy the Jaguar. Hence, the overall cost was lower than the aforementioned amount. He is of the opinion that Singaporean roads are not the widest which is why he wasn’t looking for a car for its top speed or performance. He wanted a luxurious car with convenient features.

Jaguar E-Pace is a PHEV (Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle). It comes powered by a 1.5-litre 3-cylinder turbo petrol-hybrid engine that makes 158 hp and 260 Nm of peak power and torque. This engine comes mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission allowing a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of just 9 secs. The top speed is limited to 190 km/h and the fuel consumption is a decent 14.9 km/l. The SUV has a fuel tank capacity of 67 litres and a boot space of 494 litres.
