Benelli India is getting ready for its future launches in India. Its future lineup includes many models like Leoncino 500, TRK 251 and Imperiale 400, to name a few. Well, the last one in the list has been spotted in India for the first time.
Benelli Imperiale 400 is an old-school cruiser, that is scheduled to launch in India next year. As you might already guess, it will go against the likes of one of the most popular motorcycles in India – Classic 350.
The spied Benelli looks identical to the global-spec version. The same Black colour with tons of chrome detailing can be seen onboard. Minor golden colour highlights can also be seen on the fuel tank and battery box.

Benelli Imperiale 400 will use a 400cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine, that makes 20.4 BHP at 5500 RPM and 28 Nm at 3500 RPM. The chunky engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
The Imperiale 400 is suspended on 41mm telescopic forks at the front and twin shock absorbers at the back. A 300mm front disc and a 240mm disc brake with dual-ABS come as standard fitment.
Being a retro-inspired motorcycle, you cannot expect it to be feature equipped. Split seats, round halogen headlamps, an analogue speedometer, etc. are some of the features that you might get.

Currently, Benelli is bring its bikes through the CKD unit, from its factory in China. The bikes are then assembled by Aadhishwar Auto Ride India, which are based out of Hyderabad.
There are chances that Benelli might offer a much higher level of localization that is less on the TRK Twins. That way, it can keep its prices in check. We expect cruiser to be priced around Rs 2 Lakhs (ex-showroom).
