The next Benelli motorcycle to be launched is the 502C power cruiser in India. It will be priced around Rs 5 Lakhs and is likely to come by the end of 2019.
Benelli is launching another motorcycle next year that will again be a 500cc model. It is launching the 502C power cruiser in 2020, which will get the same engine from the recently launched Leoncino 500. After the Leoncino 250 and Imperiale 400, Benelli brings its fifth model in India.
Yes, the Benelli 502C looks a lot like the XDiavel, which is another but much more powerful power cruiser. The bike will enter our market through the CKD route and will be assembled at the manufacturer’s plant in Hyderabad.
It uses the same 500cc parallel-twin cylinder liquid-cooled engine, that produces 47.5 BHP at 6000 RPM and 46 Nm of torque at 6000 RPM, running on a 6-speed gearbox. The fuel tank capacity is a good 21.5 Litre, which will give a claimed riding range of 550 kms.

The ergonomics of the bike is of a cruiser, with laid-back seating and a high-placed handlebar. The seat is quite low-heightened and the forward-set footpegs will further comfort the rider for long-distance tours.
The styling bits of the bike include sporty-looking alloy wheels, dual silver-brushed exhaust mufflers, a sculpted fuel tank, the open steel-trellis frame and the huge space between the tail-section and the tires.
For suspension, the 502C gets 41mm USD forks at the front with a pre-load adjustable monoshock at the back. Dual 280mm front discs with a 240mm single rear discs aid the braking, also with dual-channel ABS.

Features onboard will include a single-step up seat, a single-piece handlebar, full LED lighting, a fully-digital instrument console and much more. So, it would basically serve as a Diavel for the budget buyers.
There are no other power cruisers in the 500cc segment, but the Benelli 502C will find competition from the Harley Davidson Street 750 and Kawasaki Vulcan S in India. Expect the 502C to be priced between Rs 5-6 Lakhs (ex-showroom). This price will be effective of the localization that Benelli might plan for the 502C.
Meanwhile, we will be riding the new Benelli Imperiale 400, so stay tuned for our video review.
