Bajaj V15 has reported no sales for the month of April 2019. Does this indicate that Bajaj has discontinued the V Series completely due to its low sales?
Reports that came in February stated that Bajaj might discontinue the V15 in India, owing to its poor sales. The safety norms kicked in, but the bike has yet not received ABS.
Bajaj V15 and V12 were introduced in India, a couple of years back. The V series is an inspiration from the INS Vikrant, as its metal sheet has been literally used in the bikes.
For the past few months actually, V15 was barely making decent sales. Its younger sibling, the V12 was already discontinued months ago. The same reason – poor sales.

Bajaj V15 started off to better sales than the V12, until the Pulsar 150 Classic/Neon was launched. The Pulsar was actually cheaper than it by a minor sum. If we ask you; Pulsar or V15? Obviously the former one.
Although, the V15 was itself something different. It was a fusion of a cafe racer and a commuter. The silhouette was of a cafe racer, but then it got the commuter-styled handlebar.
Bajaj V15 had recently received slight power upgrade, but with the same engine. It produced 14 BHP in the latest update, instead of 12 BHP. The torque remained the same at 12.7 Nm.

The suspension is handled by conventional telescopic forks and gas-filled Twin Shock absorbers at the back. In the front, the bike uses a 240mm disc brake and a 130mm drum brake at the end.
Bajaj V15 goes for Rs Rs 65,178 (ex-showroom Delhi), whereas the Pulsar 150 Neon goes for Rs 64,998. Although, these are the non-ABS prices. With the inclusion of ABS, V15 would get dearer by nearly Rs 7,000.
Reports suggest that Bajaj might relaunch the V12 in India, with more features and some styling updates. Not only that, but it might be offered at a more affordable price to give a stiff competition.
