Bajaj-Triumph partnership will bring many new motorcycles, ranging from 200cc to 750cc. The 200cc model will be priced under Rs 2 Lakhs.
Bajaj-Triumph partnership is now official as both the companies will work together to develop premium motorcycles ranging between 200-750cc. Their partnership was actually official back in 2017, but now, they have disclosed their plans for the future.
The first motorcycle from the Bajaj-Triumph partnership will be a 200cc one. It will be priced under Rs 2 Lakhs but will come with the Triumph name. Also, all the other models will bear the Triumph name but will be manufactured at Bajaj’s Chakan plant.
Bajaj and Triumph both will handle engineering and designing processes. Bajaj will also export it to the International markets through its network. We are expecting it to contribute heavily to the localization of the motorcycles.

As of now, there are no words on the types of motorcycles that will come. We are expecting the 2 Lakh 200cc motorcycle to be a retro cruiser. The list may further include more retro cruisers, naked streetfighters and a low-cost adventure motorcycle as well.
Going up to the 750cc segment, we are sure that Bajaj-Triumph will have some naked streetfighter planned for that. Other than the 200cc segment, the 350-500cc segment is another rewarding space in recent times.
The 200cc retro cruiser will go against the likes of Bajaj Avenger and Suzuki Intruder. The brand could also think of putting up its motorcycles against Jawa, Royal Enfield or even KTM for that example.

The first model from the partnership will not come before 2022. Many premium brands like this have partnered with Indian manufacturers to build affordable premium motorcycles. There’s Bajaj, KTM and Husqvarna together, as well as BMW with TVS. Even HD is planning something for this space as it is developing a 338cc motorcycle.
