New 2012 Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS (Naked Sports Bike) Unveiled – Official Pictures, Price, Specs, Features and Details
Some new spy pictures of Bajaj Pulsar 2012 has emerged recently and they seem to be quite close to production prototypes under testing. These pictures have been taken on Nigdi-Nashik Phata highway near Bajaj factory in Pune. From the spy pictures, some apparent changes are revealed immediately. Lets point out these changes and see what has changes in the new Bajaj Pulsar 2012 and what is same.

The front suspensions thick tubes of hydraulic suspensions, which seems like an upgrade to better quality of front suspensions. The Disk brake at front has large diameter and a two pot caliper which seems to be same as existing ones. The front mudguard seems to have changes and now has a dual tone design. There is a silver coloured panel as the sides of the mudguard running parallel to the front suspensions. The shape of the front headlamp looks similar to the Pulsar 135 with very small visor. The instrument cluster is not visible in these pictures so we can comment much on that. The front turn indicators ate sharp and sleep and are mounted at the sides of the headlamps.

Moving further towards the rear, the fuel tank shape seems similar, somewhat signature Pulsar design, but looks like there is some extended faring or some air vents at the front edges hidden behind the camouflage. These look like air openings for the air-cooled engine (estimated) or just to give more visual appeal like we see on the fuel tank of Hero Honda Hunk. The footrests for the rider seems to have moved backwards and seat has gone lower in height for a sporty riding posture. The seat is now more like split seat where the rear seat is slightly elevated. There are rear grab handles behind the rear seat and the tail lamp rests below these handles. The tail lamps look spilt in two halves in design just like Pulsar 135. There is an extended overhang part below the tail lamps which is the number plate mount made up of webbed aluminum structure. The rear turn indicators are sharp and have clear glass design and are mounted at the beginning of the number plate mount at the rear.

One striking difference you will notice at the rear is the missing side springs of the suspensions, this is because the new Pulsar 2012 has centrally mounted monoshock suspension for better ride quality and stability. The swing arms have large cross-section box structure for better handling and rigid structure. The rear brakes are drum brakes and there seems to be no tyre hugger (which may or may not be present in final production versions).

The new Pulsar has new design 10 spoke black coloured alloy wheels which looks sporty. The rear tyres seems to be quite wide profile and fat for better road grip.

There are fresh spy pictures with more details shared recently by our fellow blog ICB which reveal some more details of the New 2012 Bajaj Pulsar Series in more detail. Also we share some renderings by Throttlers. As per the new details revealed, the new Bajaj Pulsar 2012 will have following features and design elements:
- New Bajaj Pulsar 2012 will have Liquid Cooled single cylinder 4 stroke petrol engines
- New Bajaj Pulsar 2012 will have an under-body exhaust muffler (silencer) just like the KTM bikes have
- New Bajaj Pulsar 2012 will have rear tail section similar to the Pulsar 135 LS
- New Bajaj Pulsar 2012 will have the contemporary Pulsar design tank with side cowls with air-scoops to make it look even more sporty
- New Bajaj Pulsar 2012 will have turn indicators design similar to the Pulsar 135 LS
- New Bajaj Pulsar 2012 will have similar rear view mirrors as the existing pulsar series have
- New Bajaj Pulsar 2012 may have a lower displacement 125 CC model positioned below the existing 135 which is lowest displacement Pulsar so far
- New Bajaj Pulsar 2012 will have Split LED tail lamps which are slightly improved in design compared to the existing pulsar series
- New Bajaj Pulsar 2012 will have new design on the front brake disk which is quite well spotted in below pictures and renders
- Headlamp cluster may contain an HID lamp along with the running lamps
- New Bajaj Pulsar 2012 will have new design 10 spoke alloy wheels
- New Bajaj Pulsar 2012 will have monoshock suspension at rear similar to KTM bikes
