Bajaj has launched new Platina 110 H-Gear, which gets disc brake at the front, a fully digital instrument console and much more!
Bajaj Auto has a good share in the commuter market with the CT100 and Platina series. The latter now gets a new variant in the lineup, which has already started reaching dealerships.
The new Bajaj Platina H-Gear 110 gets a 5-speed gearbox now. It is the first in its segment to run on 5 gears. The gear shifting pattern remains the same – all up and all down. It also gets a Gear-Shift-Guide, which shows when to change the gear on the digital console.
Further, the Platina also gets a new semi-digital instrument console, another premium feature. The speedometer is digital whereas the tachometer is an analogue unit. The console further shows gear shift indicator, service reminder and battery low warning.

The new Platina also gets disc brake at the front with Combined Braking System (CBS) as standard. For suspension, it continues with telescopic forks at the front and nitrox-charged rear shock absorbers at the back.
The updated Bajaj Platina continues with the same 115cc engine that produces 8.6 BHP and 9.81 Nm of torque. With a new gearbox on offer, we suspect the carburettor to be revised too.
We expect Bajaj to launch the Platina 110 H-Gear with a BS-6 compliant engine, but it does not get one. The updated engine will offer even better fuel economy.

Design changes are minor including revised graphics, a new colour and new set of alloy wheels. The seat is also better and you can see the 3D Platina logo on the fuel tank.
The new bike is available in three colour options – Ebony Black with Blue decals, Ebony Black with Royal Burgundy decals and in Cocktail wine Red.
The Platina H-Gear is priced 53,376 for the Drum variant and Rs 55,373 for the disc brake variant. the It will compete against the likes of Hero Splendor Plus, TVS Radeon and Honda Dream Yuga.
