Updated on 15-10-2016- While the Pulsar range has been the hot favorite amongst affordable performance bike buyers, Bajaj thinks it’s only apt to not sell its upcoming 400cc under the Pulsar moniker. Hence, the long awaited Bajaj Pulsar VS400 (aka CS400) has been launched as the Bajaj Dominar 400. The Dominar 400 will share in plenty with the Duke 390. However, it remains largely true to the Pulsar CS400 concept we saw at the 2014 Expo. The erstwhile 200NS is the first Pulsar to borrow from its Duke cousin. This time around, Bajaj has decided to come up with a higher displacement product based on the KTM 390 Duke. Powering the Bajaj Dominar 400 is a re-tuned version of the Duke’s 373.3cc engine. The Bajaj Dominar 400 launch has just taken place. Read on for Bajaj Dominar 400 Price, Top Speed, Mileage, Specifications and Features.
Bajaj plans to launch more models in the Dominar series. The manufacturer is likely to market this bike is a long distance cruiser. We have already posted many videos and spy images of the Dominar 400. However, the latest image (above) has to be the clearest picture of the upcoming bike. The Bajaj Dominar 400 launch is likely to be followed by the launch of Pulsar RS400.

Powering the Dominar 400 is the same 373cc engine, albeit in a different state of tune. We believe that the Dominar 400 will have a top speed of roughly 148 KMPH. The new Dominar 400 is the second Bajaj bike to launch this year. BAL launched the Bajaj V150 commuter earlier this year.

The Dominar 400 is the highest priced Bajaj product on sale. The bike shares its engine and many cycle parts with the KTM Duke 390. Performance is at part with most of the rivals. Another highlight of the Dominar 400 is its world class design. The Dominar looks like a slightly toned down Ducati Diavel, no? The Bajaj Dominar 400 launch should mark a really important event.

Bajaj Dominar 400 Review Walk-around Video
Bajaj Dominar 400 Design Review
The Bajaj Dominar 400 looks almost same as the CS400. The world-class design continues to impress. Designers of the Dominar 400 seem to have looked at the Ducati Diavel for inspiration. The Dominar 400 is likely to excite many. The Bajaj Dominar 400 also looks like an elder sibling of the 200NS. The front fascia gets an aggressive look and the LED headlamp impress. The Dominar 400, however, misses out on the upside down forks featured on the CS400. The Dominar 400 also makes do without clip-on handlebars. However, this enhances its street fighter image. The Dominar 400 boasts a fully digital speedo cluster. It displays speedometer, tachometer, odometer, fuel level and gear shift indicator. It also shows tell tale signs for air filter replacement and other such things.
The Dominar 400 comes with a split-seat setup. The CS400 had a single seat. Other features of this bike’s design are- muscular tank, aggressive headlamp, sporty tail section and LED taillamps. The Dominar 400 won’t have any garish body graphics. We feel that the Bajaj Dominar 400 launch will lead to advent of mean-looking, powerful Indian sports cruiser.

Bajaj Dominar 400 Braking and Suspensions
The Pulsar CS400 Concept from Auto Expo 2014 featured USD forks up front. However, the Dominar 400 gets conventional telescopic forks. The rear gets a mono suspension.
