Abin Designs has come up with an attractive concept based on the Bajaj CT100 that could easily rival the Hero Xpulse. Dubbed Bajaj CT200X, this motorcycle could be regarded as the CT100 on steroids. It is one of the most popular entry-level bikes in the country. People buy it for its impressive mileage and low maintenance costs. Hero Xpulse, on the other hand, is catered towards a specific kind of audience who is looking for a light dirt-bike type motorcycle. It could be used for the occasional off-road adventures. This concept marries those two worlds together.

Bajaj CT200X Concept As Hero Xpulse Rival
This concept design has infused a new life into the age-old CT100. For starters, the blue and red colour themes are all that bike lovers would opt for. The front fascia features the rounded headlamps that are halogens, a cage to protect the headlights, a sporty mudguard, a sculpted fuel tank with cool body graphics, a tall wind protector, a black underbelly and engine protecting rod, blue and white side panels, a split seat setup, sporty frame, jerry cans at the rear for those long tours, a sleek tail section with slim headlamps, retro-themed spoked wheel pattern, sporty stance with high handlebars. All in all, the CT100 fans would love this adventurous spin on it to make it a worthy Xpulse rival.

The CT100 comes powered by a 102-cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that outputs 7.9 PS and 8.34 Nm of peak power and torque. This engine comes amted to a 4-speed manual transmission. The suspension duties are carried by telescopic fork and twin SNS (Spring in Spring) shocks. The brakes on the CT100 are drums. The front has a 130 mm and the rear has a 110 mm drum. It ranges around Rs 52,000.

On the other hand, the Hero Xpulse comes with a 199.6-cc fuel-injected air- and oil-cooled engine that outputs 18.08 PS and 16.45 Nm of poeak power and torque. The transmission duties are carried by a 5-speed manual gearbox. The Xpulse comes with a front and rear disc brakes with a single channel ABS. Front features the telescopic forks and the rear has adjustable monoshock. It range from Rs 1.23 lakh to Rs 1.32 lakh, ex-showroom.
