While trikes have got a bit more popular, here’s India’s first 160cc three-wheeled motorcycle based on a Bajaj Avenger
The popularity of trikes has been on a rise for a few years now. So far, we’ve seen trikes based on popular models like Bajaj Pulsar and Royal Enfield. Today, though, we have a trike that is being said to be the only one based on a Bajaj Avenger 160. In fact, it is also being claimed to be the only trike based on a 160cc motorcycle.

Avenger Trike
The video of the Bajaj Avenger Street 160-based trike starts with the vehicle moving in reverse gear. Yes, the three-wheeled motorcycle gets a car-like reverse gear, which makes it pretty unique. The addition of the reverse cog makes it a lot easier to use this customized vehicle as one can now reverse into tight spaces just like he or she would do in a car. The modification has been carried out by Jalandhar-based Jaggi customs. The mod-shop carries out such customizations for all motorcycles and their contact number has been provided in the description of the video embedded above. Of course, the biggest modification is the switch to the three-wheeler format. Mostly, such modifications work well for specially-abled riders who can conveniently use such models for their commuting needs.
The gears in the motorcycle can be changed either through hand or through foot based on one’s choice. The 15-inch rear wheel of the stock motorcycle has been replaced with twin 13-inch rims shod in 165-spec tubeless tires. Speaking of additional features on offer, the Bajaj Avenger 160-based trike gets a mobile holder as well as auxiliary lights mounted on the rear fenders. The vlogger even states that the modified vehicle is durable enough for mild off-roading. Other than the inclusion of the reverse gear and modifications made to the swingarm to accommodate the twin wheel setup at the rear, the motorcycle has been left largely untouched. These customizations were carried out on a brand new motorcycle.
