A teaser of the Bajaj Avenger Street 180 ABS has been released. The updated cruiser is expected to launch in the first few days of March 2019.
Bajaj is gearing up for the official launches of its ABS updated bikes. The prices of Avenger Street and Cruise 220, Pulsar 220F, 150 and 180 have already been revealed online.
Now, a teaser of the Avenger Street 180 ABS has been revealed, which says ‘Coming Soon’. The updated cruiser is expected to be launched in the first week of March 2019.
The prices are of the Street 180 are yet to be revealed. However, the Avenger 220 variants get costlier by Rs 6,700. Currently, the 180cc cruiser is priced at Rs 87,287 (ex-showroom).

Like the other bikes, Avenger Street 180 will also get a single-channel ABS setup. At the rear wheel, a rear lift-off protection (RLP) will be equipped. RLP is a step-down from ABS, which prevents the bike from doing a stoppie during emergency braking.
Braking will be handled by 260mm disc at the front and 130mm drum brakes at the rear, paired with ABS. Even the Avenger 220 variants get the same braking setup.
Other than this update, the Street 180 will get no further changes. Meanwhile, Bajaj Pulsar 150, 180 and 220F variants have received some minor cosmetic upgrades as well.

Bajaj Avenger Street 180 comes with a 180cc DTS-i air-cooled engine, that delivers 15.5 BHP and 13.7 Nm of peak torque. The motor comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
For suspension purposes, the cruiser gets telescopic forks at the front and Twin-shock absorbers at the back. The cruiser carries on with the same braking and suspension for many years now.
Avenger Street 180 is available in Spicy Red and Ebony Black colour options. The feature list includes LED DRLs, tinted visor, the good ol’ analogue speedometer, low-hung seat and blacked out cycle parts.

Avenger Street 180 competes with the likes of Suzuki Intruder and none else. Clearly, Avenger emerges as the clear winner and the most affordable cruiser in India.
