Avan Motors Xero+ electric scooter has been launched in India, for a price of Rs 47,000. It is the first scooter in the segment to sport dual-battery option.
Electric two-wheeler startup, Avan Motors has added a new variant to the Xero+ electric scooter. The new variant is offered with dual-battery pack, which is the first in its segment.
Xero+ now comes with a dual swappable lithium-ion batteries, which provide a better riding range. The E-scooter gives a riding range of 110 kms, which is its biggest USP at a price of Rs 47,000.
Avan Motors Xero+ was last showcased in September 2018. The single-battery pack option offers 60 kilometer riding range. Other specifications and features of both the variants are same.

The electric scooter records a top speed of 45 km/hr. It can be fully charged between 2-4 hours. The batteries are detachable, which allow the batteries to removed and getting charged at home or the workplace.
Avan Motors Xero+ is equipped with disc brakes at the front and a drum brake at the back. It comes with telescopic forks at the front and coil spring suspension at the back.
It also gets a big utility box at the back. With the utility box, Xero+ can take a maximum load of 150 kgs. It has an unladen weight of 62 kgs.

Features onboard include LED lights, side stand, detachable and swappable batteries and a fully digital speedometer. The cluster shows riding range, speed and remaining battery status.
Avan Motors offers 2 years of Road Side assistance and 1 year or extended warranty for Rs 1500 extra. The first set of customers will additionally receive a spare parts tool kit.
Meanwhile, Avan Motors is also developing a new electric scooter with GPRS. The upcoming scooter will be Bluetooth integrated, enabling us to switch the scooter on or off, get location, battery status, geofencing and more advanced telematics.

Currently, the nearest competitor in its range is the Hero Electric Flash, which is priced at Rs 45,990. It offers more features but at a lesser riding range of 60 kms.
