Avan Motors recently showcased its electric scooter range at the Delhi EV Expo. The startup plans to launch 6 new models every 6 months, till the next 3 years.

The electric two-wheeler startup currently has 2 models in the market – Xero and Xero+. The Xero scooter goes for Rs 55,000 and the latter one for Rs 85,00 (ex-showroom).
Avan Motors aims to sell around 25,000 units of its electric scooters in 2019. With time, depending upon the market, the target will increase up to 1 Lakh units per annum.

Mostly, all of the upcoming scooters will be priced between Rs 45,000 to Rs 85,000. Many electric scooters are priced in a similar range.
All the upcoming scooters will come with Lithium-ion batteries, offering a top speed of up to 45 km/hr. Li-on batteries help in better performance and speed.
The expected launch date of the first upcoming model is by January-end. The brand might launch the high-speed Avan Motors Xero+ high speed model .

With the new model, Avan Motors has set a target of 1,000 units per month in the coming 2 months. The startup has its production plant in Hinjewadi, Pune. As of now, the total production capacity is 36,000 units per annum.
Its two existing products – Xero and Xero+ were launched in March 2018. Xero is the basic entry-level model while Xero+ a performance-oriented version of that.
Xero gets a 250W electric motor with a 48V lithium-ion battery. The top-speed achievable on this scooter is around 25 km/hr. The riding range of the scooter is 70 kms. It takes 6-8 hours to charge the Xero E-scooter.
Xero+ gets an 800W electric motor with dual lithium-ion batteries. This scooter gets a higher top speed limit of 45 km/hr. It also offers a better riding range of 110 kms. It takes a similar charging time of 6-8 hours.

As of now, it has only 25 points across the country. By the end of 2019, the company plans to reach up to 200 points across India. With this, they also aim to construct more charging stations across many cities.
