Mahindra has launched the XUV700 in Australia and the impressions of the reviewers are out.
An Australian car reviewer calls the Mahindra XUV700 strange but in a good way. XUV700 has done exceptionally well in its home market, India. Now, Mahindra wants to replicate that success Down Under. Interestingly, Mahindra has been in the Australian market for a long time now. However, it was limited to pickup trucks based on the Scorpio and the XUV500. They were also loved by the off-roading community. But with the XUV700, the Indian auto giant wants to establish itself as a premium carmaker offering products at affordable prices. The XUV700 starts at just $36,990 for the base AX7 trim and tops up at $39,990 for the AX7L variant. That is the strangest thing about the SUV, as mentioned by the reviewer.

At the rear, they really like the LED taillamps and the boxy shape making it look like a proper SUV with an imposing road presence.

What We Think
We have been going through quite a few Australian reviews of the Mahindra XUV700 and the overall impressions are quite positive and encouraging. Most of them are not able to get over the fact that the drive-away prices of the SUV are under $40,000. That is the most impressive and enticing aspect of the SUV. At this price point, the buyers get a feature-loaded vehicle with a powerful engine and the practicality of 7 seats. It is time to see whether the customers are also as impressed by the SUV as the reviewers.
