It has been massively popular in India and has enjoyed decent success in markets like Australia and South Africa as well. In fact, Down Under, it appears as a much more affordable alternative to the heavyweights of this space like Mitsubishi Outlander, Toyota Fortuner and even Toyota Land Cruiser along with Chery Tiggo 8 Pro Max. Let us see what this owner has to say.
Australian Man’s Ownership Experience of Mahindra XUV700
This video stems from the official Mahindra Australia channel on YouTube. The man talks about his experience of owning the 7-seat SUV from the Indian auto giant. He starts by saying that the value proposition that the XUV700 offered was crazy in comparison to the aforementioned products. In fact, he mentions that if he specced-up the other cars, the cost would’ve risen exponentially. Furthermore, he says that even though the XUV700 is not 4WD, he could drive it just about anywhere regardless.
He goes on to inform the viewers that in the very first drive, he ended up taking the Mahindra XUV700 to some of the most prominent off-roading locations in Australia including a rain forest along the east coast. Most of this trip included mud surfaces with barely any traction. Still, the SUV didn’t miss a beat and posed an impressive performance. Note that he had installed all-terrain tyres which are more than enough to take it onto most road surfaces out there. Finally, he has installed roof bars, a rear tow hook which contains a luggage carrier and a 400-litre roof carrier to carry sporting equipment, etc. This takes care of the practicality aspect of the vehicle. Overall, he is totally satisfied with the XUV700.
